Wild waves slamming the Holland Harbor pier at sunset.

It’s a tree. At Burnsall. Oh yes, it’s the Burnsall Tree. Burnsall is a superb little village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, UK. It’s on the River Wharfe. Burnsall on Google Earth The marker on the map is bang on the tree in the photo. Lovely jubbly.

Another picture of the sunset, I think I prefer this one over the first one. =)
/ / / An Unbearable Beauty. Come here and listen / watch the light playing / a cloud into the distance / a wonder in saying This place, this whole, this beauty controlled / remember this cry, that loss so denied / was what we wanted fulfilled Stay here in this keeping / breathe this star into night / singing the day before sleeping / allow this simple delight A form, a ghost, a time so, ‘beloved’ / feel this thought right, a mind so involved / a cannot do now but weeping. Leave these who thinking / contain what they hear / let your thought do the seeking / allow no time for fear A world away from aching, deceitful complaining / a landscape of light and saying
Sunset in between layers of a storm… Suwanee, GA By: Terri~Lynn / 2009
Sunrise At Upper Beaver Meadows It pays to get places early, you all shoulda seen the out of state photographers come screaming around the corner in their 2 cars, slamming on the brakes, parking, and trying to lug what seemed like 200 pounds of equipment stuffed into massive LowePro bags when I was shooting this lol Anyways, this was quite a scene and one that I was pretty thrilled about capturing, the clouds just seem to skyrocket by me. Photographed in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park. / Thoughts welcomed! / —-John You can see more of my work on my website at jdebordphoto.com
A Black and White shot of Uluru highlighting the drama of the moment. Stripped of the usual colours this images is able to impart the events rather than just Uluru itself. High winds blowing the young Acacias and the high clouds breaching across the sky make this image stand out amongst the rest. Uluru, Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park / Northern Territory / Australia

This was the dying stages of a supercell thunderstorm which had travelled about 150km from south of Grafton to near Lismore, NSW. Giant hail and damaging winds were reported. Quite a nice shelf cloud / guster formed with occasional bursts of spectacular lightning.

LION’S SUNSET PHOTO BEST VIEWED LARGE. The month of March “came in like a lamb and went out like a lion!” You name it and you could have it – in terms of the weather, as we had everything from tornadoes to blizzards across the United States the last few days of March! This beautiful sunset was taken March 31, 2009, on the very last day of the month.* / Therefore I gave this photo (to the left) the title of: LION’S SUNSET. LION’S SUNSET REFLECTIONS, the photo I took in the side-view mirror / of my car, is shown below. Both photos shot with my Canon Digital EOS 40D. / Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens.

I recently came across the program Image Composite Editor (ICE) Which is a free panoramic stitching software and I decided to put it though it’s paces with this multi row panorama I took at Mettams Pool Beach which is a popular beach in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. The photo consists of 38 15 megapixel photos which were stitched in 5 separate panoramic images, Then I stitched all 5 panoramas to create the final panorama. The final result is a whopping 327 megapixel panorama! There doesn’t seem to be any misalignments using the software, And it managed to put together the final image in very little time too. You can download Microsoft ICE Here EOS 500D.
