Digital Art: Arizona State, U.S.A. A Navajo native American woman rider stands on a high desert plateau admiring the evening sunset. / Note: All my digital art work is executed entirely with my mouse and Photoshop Elements’ brushes. It takes hours of concentration, patience and self control. Especially when the mouse wants to go right and you need it to go left! When this happens , I reluctantly leave my office and go for a stroll in my garden. / That usually takes care of the problem and then, I get back to work :)

This image of the Right Mitten framed in between two rocks shows the shadow of the Left Mitten falling across it. The Sky was doing some amazing things behind me and I noticed that most people had truned for the sunset. I steedfast remained shooting into the park. The change in colour taking place in the Valley as the sunset came closer was amazing. The right rock is slightly burned in but I am not one to play in Layers. This is a 3 image HDR given only a slight adjustment. The resulting image was then processed in CS3 with a slight adjustment to straighten the horizion and curves to add a little extra contrast. All 3 images to make the HDR were shot with a Nikon D70

Every time when I look to this photo I’m happy and sad on the same time! But now the whole world knows!!! As the sun sets against the Sandia Range outside of Albuquerque New Mexico, the light was just amazing, with the storms coming in and the color changing almost every second, I set up my tripod and had at it…I really wanted an image that conveyed a sense of high drama and showcased the light for what it was, so I sat and thought to myself and said “What if Ansel Adams was shooting this, what would he do??” and wallah, this is how it translated. Thoughts welcomed! / —John

Twinkling rays of setting sun / Come sifting through the trees / To dance upon the forest floor / And sparkle with the breeze Abstract photography of a northeast Georgia sunset sifting through the forest. These abstracts are formed through Camera Painting rather than editing in PS, etc. I get the effects with slight movements of the camera during a slow shutter speed.
