The break in the rainy day at sunset coupled with high tide being driven by the wind created some surging waves for me to use in the foreground and this gnarled limb or stump washed ahore at the right time for me to add it to the composition. Taken at Neptune Beach here in the great state of Washington.

Whilst on one of my regular trips to the lighthouse on Jersey, I decided to climb further down one of the steep cliffs overlooking the lighthouse, looking for a different view of the scene. I kept going down until I reached the rocks below. i saw this little inlet between the large rocks which make up the shore line, and decided to take photos of the incoming tide. little did I know just how quick it comes in. I got soaked, but thank goodness my camera was fine. I love this view though. It was worth it. I look forward to going down again to get another shot next year. This is one from my recent trip with Glen to Moreton Island where we were witnessing a great natural spectacle. Do I really need to say anything here…..just look at this landscape and soak it in. It is a large tidal pool where we enjoyed the silence and absence of civilisation. For those of you with an iphone, I have 100 of my "best" in an application called "ifolio". I had the privilege with 49 other photographers of being selected for the launch of a new iPhone/iPod Touch application which is now available for free on iTunes and Apple Store. iFolio is an application created specifically for iPhone and / iPod Touch, which aims to provide a pleasant / and liquid portfolios of various artists (photographers, / artists, graphic illustrators, ...).

This tree has a bit of a story I suppose. Those living in the Brisbane area know it as “Garry’s” tree….just kidding. It is a fantastic subject both for Sunrises and Sunsets and even night shots. Go and get it…hehe
