Digital Airbrush Painting This painting was inspired by the beautiful moody photograph below, shot by fellow Redbubbler – Steen. Check out his page. Great stuff! I thought the mood in the shot was incredible, and asked him if he would mind if I did a painting of it. So here it is, and I hope you like it.

The sky tries … / Oh how it strives / To hold onto the blue / That magical hue of brilliant blue! As the sun sinks low in the sky / The whispy clouds streak across the blue / That magical hue of brilliant blue! It lingers there all streaked with white / As the sky slowly fades into night. Transfixed I sit and watch the scene unfold / Blue … white … yellow … then gold … / That magical gold / That soon hides the hue of brilliant blue! (copyright Beverley Woodman 2009) This image was taken on Redhead Beach in NSW Australia looking south towards Blacksmiths Beach. After a hot and muggy day, it was a delight to sit and watch this scene unfold … true magic!
Monday is never a good day. It means the end of the weekend and th start of the working week. Somehow its harder to get your mind around your work on a Monday and especially when its summer … and its hot and muggy. What better way than to release the hassles of the day than to head for Redhead Beach to paddle in the waves and sit and watch the sun change the sky from brilliant blue to yellow, to gold and then finally to blood red. Many people were swimming, surfing, playing in the sand and walking the beach that stetches clear from Redhead to Belmont and then onto Blacksmiths breakwall at the mouth of Lake Macquarie in NSW Australia. This couple were enjoying the cool ocean breeze as they walked along this stretch of beach. /
