The third artwork in the Nautical Series. This digital landscape is a digital painting done in both Corel Painter and Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. No photo references were used. Another in my infrared base image series. Two layers of the base image that is the infrared, multiplied in Photoshop’s layer palette blending modes. This one has an added boat, the moon, and some sun streaks shining through. I tried to swing the colour a bit more sepia on this one, just to make it interesting. ;-)

This is the sunset at Nambung National Park located about 245 km drive north from Perth, Western Australia. I am not sure what has caused this sky colour. This is what I love to do most evenings in summer,,, I just paddle out, float around and watch the sunset. 9×12 watercolor and colored pencil on watercolor paper This is another piece inspired by a Led Zeppelin song, Going to California. Particularly the lines “someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair”. And then there is that purely esoteric line “Children of the sun begin to awake.” / The ancient Incans called themselves The Children of the Sun. They had legends of a white bearded man that came from ancient Lemuria and brought to them the great spiritual knowledge of Lemuria. Many believe that it is the souls of Lemuria that are awaking now(The Children of the Sun) and are bringing us into the New Age of Peace and Enlightenment. I wonder if Plant knew all this when he wrote those lyrics.
