Africa has the most spectacular sunsets. Join me on a journey and view some of these sunsets through the lens of my camera. All the images are of sunsets that was captured in the Mpumalanga & Limpopo provinces of South Africa. /
In this calendar are wonderful cloud formations brought to you by nature in the Reno, Nevada skies.
/ Mpumalanga is one of the nine provinces of South Africa. It is a province of impressive gorges, waterfalls, forests, and the natural home of the “Big Five”. Game Parks and conservation areas are scattered about the province, including the world famous Kruger National Park. Mpumalanga – “the place where the sun rises” – is a province with spectacular scenic beauty and an abundance of wildlife, lying in the northeast of South Africa. / / Bordered by the countries of Mozambique and Swaziland to the east and the Gauteng to the west, it is situated mainly on the high plateau grasslands of the Middleveld, which roll eastwards for hundreds of kilometres. In the northeast, it rises towards mountain peaks and terminates in an immense escarpment. In places this escarpment plunges hundreds of metres down to the low-lying area known as the Lowveld. In the eastern region lies the southern half of the magnificent Kruger National Park, a nature reserve teeming with African wildlife in a total area roughly the size of Israel. / / Mpumalanga takes up 6.5% of South Africa’s total land area (Map: Mary Alexander)

In the stars His handiwork I see, / On the wind He speaks with majesty. / Though He ruleth over land and sea, / What is that to me? / I will celebrate Nativity, / For it has a place in history, / Sure, He came to set His people free, / What is that to me? Till by faith I met Him face to face, / And I felt the wonder of His grace, / Then I knew that He was more / Than just a God who didn’t care, / That lived away out there / and ….. / Now He walks beside me day by day, / Ever watching o’er me lest I stray, / Helping me to find that narrow way, / He is everything to me.
