I took this photo a little while ago one morning at Emerald Lake (Victoria). The sun had just pushed over the hills and was reflecting beautifully off the water. It was a very pleasant morning.

Seagulls are lined up along the waters edge as the sun sets, with a ray of sunlight highlighting the centre gull. It looks as if it’s their regular meeting place for a get-together and a chat.

A macro sunset through a dirty window glass after a refreshing spring shower.

Somerset was hit by flash flooding a week ago. Lots of villages in the local area experienced problems of different kinds, from roads being blocked to homes being flooded. I took this photo when out on a walk looking for Starlings. I didn’t see any Starlings but found myself standing near the river Brue which was completely overflowing into the field seen here. The water in the foreground is usually where cattle graze…

A heavy rainstorm had passed over Sidney, Vancouver Island,British Columbia and I sat it out on the waterfront, in hopes of getting some good cloud pictures.Eventually I was rewarded with some very nice scenes, and I think I liked this one the best. / The dark island at right center is James Island, a private domain. / To the left is Sidney Island, with the low light of the sun glinting off the sand cliffs and beaches that feature this side of the island. / Taken December 28,2008, with a Fuji S100FS camera.
