Denver, Colorado You know driving home from the airport is thirsty business… I stopped at McDonalds to get a drink when I noticed a field of these wild flowers. I had my camera in the car (I have it with me always!) and decided I had a little time to waste before work. The field was near where all this construction equipment was so I thought I’d for sure get a talking too for being in the same area with out “protective gear”. No body bothered me though, which is rare, and I’m sure that this field will be gone in no time thanks to the expansions of our city…:(

Coldrum stones is in kent and is a berial mound on the north downs. / the light was perfect the day i was there and resulted in this picture. / this is one of my best photos and i think the treatment does it justice and adds drama. / iso100 5xp hdr image tone mapped in photomatix and the contrast adjustments where done using cs3.

Cathedral Grove, MacMillan Provincial Park, near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island,British Columbia, Canada. After the severe windstorm in 1997, hundreds of the massive old-growth trees were destroyed, allowing the sun to penetrate the canopy to the forest floor. / I was trying to get a view of the light reaching through the trees and didn’t expect to get this star-like burst. It looks like I was using a filter, but I wasn’t. I don’t own the type that would give this effect. / September 2009, Sony DSCF828 camera.
