  • This photo was taken at Alexandra Headland on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia. It makes me feel like I am on holiday when I look at it. Hope you like it. yes I know it is stitched.

  • This lizard was climbing up out of a small hole in a dam wall, he just sat there for us for a little while, there were tons of lizards out that day.

  • Australian sealion sunning himself on beach of Port Rickaby, South Australia

  • These guys were motionless as they faced the rising morning sun to warm up as the day began. This shot was taken a couple of hundred metres from Lake Naivasha in Nakuru National Park, Kenya.

  • A rock face with seaweed draped across it on Thirroul Beach, NSW, Australia …... the hard rocky surface reminds me of what happens to our skin when we are in the sun too long. I am passionate about raising awareness regarding skin cancer and how we can prevent it from happening !

  • A couple on the beach with all their paraphenalia, the yellow duck belonged to their little boy who ended up not in the painting. I was fascinated by the bald head of the man which was thoroughly sunburnt, while the rest of him was white. A beautiful clear day at Cottesloe, when you could just see Rottnest Island on the horizon. Fourth in the series of small acrylic on canvas paintings.

  • sunbaking kangaroo

  • Yes this is the botanical gardens again lol

  • Acrylic on canvas 70×50cms

  • Mullaloo Beach, Perth, Western Australia is the most gorgeous white sand beach I’ve ever been too. It’s long and flat and with soft fine sand. The water is clear and weed free, with a great sets of waves that you can body surf. My family love that beach and the best part is you can see everything easily. I love the lighting, as this was taken late afternoon.

  • A darter bird, through habit or instinct catches the very early morning sun beams before quickly diving into the water. Imaged at Lake Eden, North Lakes, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

  • A darter bird adopts its signature wing-spread pose to capture the early morning sun. Imaged at Lake Eden, North Lakes, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

  • A darter bird (Anhinga melanogaster) enjoys the warmth of the afternoon sun at Lake Eden, North Lakes, Brisbane, Queensland. This bird spent all of its time, whilst always keeping a close eye on me, sounding its familiar “click”, “click” noise, possibly as a nervous reaction. Its wingspan is approximately 1.3 metres, which is somewhat surprising for its relatively small body size.

  • “Oh I do looove that warm afternoon sun on my belly” says Frank.
