  • Photosynthesis With my arms extended towards the source, the soul grows and conscience is expanded. Perhaps plants are not the only ones who are fed by the sun, the substract of photosynthesis. Contemplating and capturing sceneries like this one, is probably an equally powerful photosynthetic process that makes the earth go round each day… José Ramos

  • I shot this just a few moments before dawn off the Bundeena Cliffs at Royal NP just south of Sydney and a 15 minute walk from where I live. / This section of coast in Royal is just magnificent and I keep getting drawn back to it night and day – can’t imagine how many hours I’ve spent up here just sitting and gazing out to sea or taking pics. There are actually some hermit dwellings built into the side of the cliffs during the 1930’s Depression which are now derelict. I can fully understand why people built them. Wouldn’t mind setting up residence myself (but I love my running hot and cold water too much lol). Tv: 1/6 sec / Av: f/ll / ISO: 100 / FL: 10mm / Canon 30D

  • Nothing better than a spot of late night fishing at a coastal beach in summer. Pt Lonsdale, VIC A thank you to Bidkev for nominating this photo in the Pay It Forward Group. This what Kev had to say. I would like to nominate John Conway’s “Two Mates Fishing” A lot of my favourites are to do with fishing. Nothing settles me more and takes my mind of life’s tribulations than a peaceful day’s fishing. John has captured perfectly, the camaraderie that exists between two mates who have a love of the same pastime. If the sunsets are spectacular, as this one is, then that adds further to one’s enjoyment. This picture simply oozes mateship and peacefulness. Thanks Kev, very much appreciated

Deva Asylum lies in the grounds of the very active Countess Of Chester Hospital in Chester, the asylum was built in 1827 and opened in 1829, its original name was The Cheshire County Lunatic Asylum. / Through out the years the asylum changed its name and in 1953 it was renamed Deva until 1984 when it was once again renamed to The Countess Of Chester a name which it still goes by today. / Originally the asylum was meant to house upto 500 patients but over the years it expanded as did new wings and annexes until it could finally house over 1500 patients.
