For some reason when the scene first presented itself I thought of the Song “Ventura Highway” by America, one of my all-time favourites. The weirdness off and beauty off this son is something I like to capture in my photographs. Please also visit my photoblog . Cheers Alex

Background Information: / Tofino is a village of about 1,650 residents on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada, located at the western terminus of Highway 4. It is located at the tip of the Esowista Peninsula, and is thus a part of Clayoquot Sound. Islands in the vicinity include Meares, Vargas and Flores. Lone Cone on Meares Island is an extinct volcano. Tofino and the nearby town of Ucluelet are the closest towns to the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. The settlement of Tofino first acquired the name in 1909 with the opening of the Tofino Post Office, named in association with Tofino Inlet nearby. Tofino Inlet was named in 1792 by the Spanish commanders Galiano and Valdés, in honor of Admiral Vicente Tofiño, under whom Galiano had learned cartography. A popular tourist destination in the summer, Tofino’s population swells to many times its winter size. It attracts surfers, nature lovers, campers, whale watchers, fishermen, or anyone just looking to be close to nature. In the winter it is not as bustling, however, many people visit Tofino and the west coast to watch storms on the water. Close to Tofino is Long Beach, a scenic and popular year-round destination, at the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Nearby Maquinna Marine Provincial Park, with its natural hot springs, is located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Tofino and is also a popular day-trip destination for tourists although it is only reachable by boat or float plane. You give me rainbow butterflies / Your hand touches mine and I feel / The wisdom of oak trees line up / And we walk that lane which shines / Both of our spirits on parade Your wings are vibrating those / Colors that catch the light / My eyes are green to emeralds delight / As you listen for my lead / The one I took from our Spirits creed We make a pack of lovers bliss / That all things are possible with / One soulful kiss / That all who know us or come / Our way / Are blessed with knowing / All things are possible / Today. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox
Kyleakin is the first village encountered on the Isle of Skye, when you cross over the bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh…....this is where the old Ferry boat used to land, which I don’t miss at all, romantic it might be, but darned inconvenient !! / The old ruin you can see behind the boats is Castle Moil…......a few facts for you….... “The 14th Century Castle Moil has had many names in its long history. Also known as Dun Akyn (Norse for Hakon’s Fort) and An Caisteal Maol in Gaelic, it is now a romantic ruin. Sited at the Skye end of the road bridge in the village of Kyleakin, the castle has Norse connections. Legend has it that a Norwegian princess, otherwise known as “Saucy Mary”, ordered a chain to be hung from the castle to the mainland so that no boat could pass without paying a tax.” / Nothing new under the sun then, eh ??!! LOL !! A three RAW HDR, shot on my Canon EOS 50D, polarising filter fitted, iso 100, f23, Auto WB, processed in Photomatix, then sprucing up in Adobe Photoshop CS3. / I used HDR because of the extreme light / shadow.
