The text translates as “I am the beautiful flower, I am the sun’s tear” which is from an ancient poem “The song of Amergin”. ‘Inspirational Series’ card by Karin Taylor Where is Red Dog is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper using ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal. The original painting was inspired by the legend of ‘Red Dog’, aka ‘The Pilbara Wanderer’ of Western Australia. Red Dog was a loyal friend and stout companion to all who knew him. In this painting, the girl on the skateboard represents us in our search for love and acceptance and ‘Red Dog’ symbolises that quintessential spirit of the friend, whose love and acceptance we all yearn for.

I forgot who’s the real artist though.. i found the original painting from a book in the library.. will go search for that book again and share her great name with you all! =D Specially drew this for my friend as she starts off her dream career as a teacher~ Soon after i was done with this piece, i suffer from CTS, a repetitive strain injury, disabling me from drawing for more than a year.. =(

...the sunflowers go to sleep I found this field of sunflowers in Lower Austria near Drosendorf in the so called Waldviertel. Most of the sunflower fields have already been harvested, but this one was still standing and the flower were in full bloom. driving by on my way “home” i simply had to stop and take this photo and enjoy the view. there are some beautiful moments in life…
