Some might say this is not this guy’s best angle… A wrestler limbers up before a bout at a sumo basho (tournament) in Tokyo. This stretch is actually a lot more difficult than it looks and to be able to do it requires an amazing amount of strength and flexibility. I know, i’ve tried it!

well i wasn’t going to show this one but i was convinced by mayuphoto! / anyways i was told i struck an uncanny resembalance to famous hawaiian sumo yokozuna musashimaru, so they got me to recreate his famous poster pose in the middle of a sydney street with hundreds of world youth day people looking on, this was done with my camera so as i had one for the record!! / enjoy or vomit!

Two grotesquely obese and sweaty men grappling with each others rolls of fat… what could be more of a turn on?

The guy on the right who looks like he’s just bowled his opponent out of the ring is Asashōryū, the 68th yokozuna (highest rank in sumo from which you can’t be demoted) and until recently the only active wrestler of this rank. He’s amazing! I had my camera on continuous shooting mode and this was only the third photo I got! I’m still not sure how he did it, and neither, i’m guessing, is his opponent.
