/ Half coloured image, thanks to gottheshot fellow bubbler and friend for the idea / Greeting Card / in Walnut frame with off white matt / The original drawing prior to adding colour in photoshop Blue Pools / from the “Connecting” series / Created on A3 cartridge paper acid free / a pencil drawing / coloured in photoshop Last night I was trying to think of an idea, or some inspiration for a new drawing, just before bedtime, my husband said blue pools, but i have idea what the context was lol That was enough for me, i thought immediately of blue eyes and a girl submerged in blue pools of water…... here she is ;)

/ / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /

The teapot topiary is also a fountain, you can see water pouring out of the spout and a sprinkler at the tippy top.. :) Inspiration / The inspiration came through my parents, who have a topiary teapot and a topiary sugar bowl in their own backyard, the also told me of an amazing topiary garden they visited in Tassie recently. / / Here is the “teapot topiary” in my parents’ backyard, they are sculpting teapots and sugar bowls….there are lots of fun things in my mum and dad’s garden !! Even the Cheshire Cat and Tinman have a spot in the sun there :)
