I’ve always loved to hang out clothes to dry. I don’t know why. There’s something about the quietness of it that stirs me. And I love to see the wind playing with them. And the smell of clothes or sheets dried outside beats any fabric softener smell I’ve found so far.
Sailboats closing in on each other as they near the finish line. There was an 11 second difference between first and second place.
Big Red is located at the entrance of the Holland Harbor. It is the only lighthouse that has a name and it is the most photographed of all the lighthouses on the Great Lakes.

This image was painted and drawn from this photograph: http://photo.ringo.com/89/89841715O537694920.jpg with the permission of Alex Milligan who gave me the photo to paint with after adding me onto his friend on Ringo, which is a site that, at the time, allowed no copyrighted images on it. So, yes, indeed, Alex gave me permission repeatedly by where he gave it, when he gave it, and that he gave it. He is still on my friends list, too. Now, you can have private images on there, though, in case you are interested in knowing that. I made several pictures from the one photo, but most of them are either misplaced or gone. I am uploading the few I still know where to find.

A mid-summer sunset in the rolling hills of North Central Pennsylvania. This photo was captured with a Canon EOS 10D body fitted with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L Zoom lens, at the 70mm focal length. The shutter speed was 1/10th sec at f/9.5. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a Canon remote shutter release. Directly from the camera, “as-is”.
