“Sugar Mountain” Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / With the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. It’s so noisy at the fair / But all your friends are there / And the candy floss you had / And your mother and your dad. Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / With the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. There’s a girl just down the aisle, / Oh, to turn and see her smile. / You can hear the words she wrote / As you read the hidden note. Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / With the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. Now you’re underneath the stairs / And you’re givin’ back some glares / To the people who you met / And it’s your first cigarette. Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / With the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. Now you say you’re leavin’ home / ‘Cause you want to be alone. / Ain’t it funny how you feel / When you’re findin’ out it’s real? Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / With the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain / with the barkers and the colored balloons, / You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain / Though you’re thinking that / you’re leaving there too soon, / You’re leaving there too soon. copyright neil young sm
Some girls just stick in your throat, and you can’t wash them down.
It’s so dark inside the wolf / Brothers Grimm When I moved home from Europe and unpacked my boxes, I found my red coat again Her red coat, really. I was nineteen the last time I’d worn it so I didn’t scowl at the loose button, or how it stretched across the bust. She was always much skinnier than me, after all, especially once the wolf came knocking. She’d told me she’d come back for it. It’s just that she didn’t have the money for him, and he was knocking soon, and she really, really needed him tonight. And I could take the coat as payment, if only I’d answer the knock for the both of us. She’d come back for it; of course she would. I keep the collar turned up when I wear it now, at 36. Sometimes, I don’t even feel the cold. But other times, I feel it in my bones.

This shot was taken before the sun came up.. I went to check out the sunrise, but a storm had blown in and there was very little colour other than blue on the eastern facing coast.. so I headed over to the west coast and took some photos at Sugar Loaf Rock.. I’m very happy I did as I just love this shot! These were the actual colours captured by the camera, I haven’t photoshoped the colours at all, I’ve just adjusted the white balance down somewhat in order to exaggerate the blue that was already there.. love this shot! 3 minute exposure @ f10, ISO100 / ND400 + ND8 + ND4Grad All comments appreciated Paul Pichugin / http://www.paulmp.com.au

This time around her challenge is for an Antique Tea Set. Thank heavens I could go scavenging in my mothers cupboards. My Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, with a clock that they both owned. I have it now… / They had what could be called a “strained” relationship. My Great-Grandfather left his family of 9 children to research the possibility of making fuel from sugar cane (in “French Guyana”) for the British government. I have all of the letters he sent home. Four photoimages, edited in Photoshop Elements 3.
