Agathe had arthritis all over her poor body ,she couldn’t stand it .Sometimes she was just raging of pain .She passed away the 14 of april .I wasn’t there to say goodbye but I’m sure she knows her hands will finaly be on R.B.I asked her for some shots of her twisted fingers and she agreeded with such pleasure ,she asked me several times when I was going to do it .I went to see her just in time a week ago.She was so weak that she couldn’t hold to little butterfly.I felt so sad but at the same time I was happy that she used the rest of her strenth to do that shot she wanted so much. She was always on oxygene and stayed still all day long the last few weeks.I ‘m sure she’s not suffering anymore .By! Bye! Agathe…xx
This painting was created with interior house paint on canvas / H26” x W50” / Black Matte Gallery Frame / 2007 / Original – 1800.00 / ON SALE NOW! 1000.00 “Faceless,” is dedicated to all the woman and girls who suffer injustices all over the world, and remain faceless to world. Although I created this image in 2007, and had titled it “Girls,” I didn’t fully realize what it meant until just this week. In the news, a husband kills his wife, by placing a plastic bag over her head, hangs her, and flees with the three children after countless please for help to local authorities. A father is convicted of keeping his daughter locked up as a sex slave for 24 years. Daughter now 42. Many females are enslaved, murdered, raped, tortured all over the world, and many more will remain faceless to us. Stop, think, and listen.
Erwin Raphael McManus. Soul Cravings. An earthquake devastated Managua, Nicaragua, when I was in my early teens. It was one of the few times I remember my mom opening up her heart and sharing her struggles with her faith. She told me that night that tragedies like this make it impossible for her to believe in a personal God. As she put it, it was easier for her to be Jewish, to believe if there was a God, he got everything started but was disconnected from the course and experience of human history. I understand now that what she was describing was really the views of a deist, yet at the same time I know many Jews who would agree with her. At that same time she was reading a book by Rabbi Harold Kushner titled When Bad Things Happen To Good People. The conclusion is that God is good but is powerless to do anything about the problems in the world. As traumatic as earthquakes, hurricanes, and tsunamis may be, they are not the cause of the violence that tears our souls most deeply. What tears at us the most, what leaves us shattered and broken, what we do to each other. A tidal wave has no moral compass, no capacity to feel deeply. Nature isn’t supposed to care about anything, but we are. We want God to stop nature from wreaking havoc on us, and God is trying to get us to stop destroying each other. Why is it that the most dangerous place in the world to be is in the hands of a human being unmoved by love?

”...Now I understand what you tried to say to me, / How you suffered for your sanity, / How you tried to set them free. / They would not listen, they did not know how. / Perhaps they’ll listen now. For they could not love you, / But still your love was true. / And when no hope was left in sight / On that starry, starry night, / You took your life, as lovers often do. / But I could have told you, Vincent, / This world was never meant for one / As beautiful as you. ‘ ‘Starry Starry Night- Don McLean Lyrics’ Reference Graphite pencil on A4 paper, about 30 mins. Today 4th November 2008 we commentate one of the saddest episodes of our history, men, women, and children were taken from their land, herded into makeshift forts with minimal facilities and food, then forced to march a thousand miles(Some made part of the trip by boat in equally horrible conditions). Under the generally indifferent army commanders, human losses for the first groups of Cherokee removed were extremely high. John Ross made an urgent appeal to Scott, requesting that the general let his people lead the tribe west. General Scott agreed. Ross organized the Cherokee into smaller groups and let them move separately through the wilderness so they could forage for food. Although the parties under Ross left in early fall and arrived in Oklahoma during the brutal winter of 1838-39, he significantly reduced the loss of life among his people. About 4000 Cherokee died as a result of the removal. The route they traversed and the journey itself became known as “The Trail of Tears” or, as a direct translation from Cherokee, “The Trail Where They Cried” (“Nunna daul Tsuny”). These all are prophecies / Of what shall be, / When Freedom’s sons shall / Leave their brothers free. When I saw this prayer, written by an unknown author, at the Carmelite monastery where I do volunteer work, I knew I had to incorporate it into an image and offer its consoling words to those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s as well as to family, friends, and medical personnel who care for those afflicted with this disease. I chose an image of a cloud-filled sky as the sun was setting because those with Alzheimer’s are largely in the sunset of their lives and have to contend with many issues that cloud their lives. Prayer for an Alzheimer’s Sufferer Please grant my visitors tolerance for my confusion, / Forgiveness for my irrationality, / and the strength to walk with me / Into the mist of memory my world has become. Please let them take my hand and stay awhile / Even though I seem unaware of their presence. / Help them to know how their strength and loving care / Will drift slowly into the days to come / Just when I need it most. Let them know when I don’t recognize them / that I will . . . I will. / Keep their hearts free from sorrow for me / For my sorrow when it comes only lasts a moment – / then it’s gone. And finally please let them know / how very much their visits mean, / How, even through this relentless mystery, / I can still feel the love. Amen
Black Ink and a lot of patience on a pissed-off day. This tree has been here as long as myself. / Stupid fingers I have, I deleted it last week, only able to upload it again today. / I think he still looks superb, even better than the day he was brought into life.
