My First Wedding as official photographer. Thank you to Adrian and Zoe Terrace for having faith in me to take their photos on such as a special day. I will post more in the coming days. This photo is just something I believe is fantastic. The first emotion that comes to mind is that of love and trust everytime I look at this shot.

This is a photo of a black bear cub from Yellowstone National Park. / He is quite literally ‘out on a limb’ :-). The cubs are so adventurous and playful, you can see there amazement at the world around them in every action they exhibit.

Model is Chelsea Rose / Makeup and Hair by Loran Bean / Assistant: Adam People seem to like when I say how I get my shots, so I will keep up with it! We went to the roof of a shopping centre carpark to shoot this series. It was WHITE, it was HOT, it was windy and it was…EXTREMELY HOT! We now all look like beetroots, we’re so red. I made the mistake of lying down on the HOT CONCRETE for about 10 mins for this shot. :( But it was worth it! I have been told it looks like she’s very high up. But she’s not really! All lighting is natural, no reflectors were used. And as always, comments are always appreciated. xo / Rose

There is much in my work about hurt or even death and dying – these are issues that tie in closely with the themes I am in the early stages of investigating through my visual imagery work in the long term. But this image of the poor little European wasp came about in this way purely through the chance finding him/her dead in this curled-up pose, yet with the beautiful wings so wonderfully whole and unharmed, on the floor in the corner of my room… Sony Alpha 350, Sony 100mm Macro Lens, Focal Length 100mm.
