Image was taken in Washington DC, at one of the many Metro stations. I love the contrast between items in motion and the stationary objects. Processed with Redynamix to give it a slight HDR feel. Taken with Nikon D50 and Nikkor 18-70mm lens.

This is the ceiling of the entrance to a subway station in the West Village of NYC with B&W film. It was taken circa 1987.
Mid-town Manhattan F Train Station at 57th Street. Shot with a digital SLR this past summer and enhanced in photoshop and corel photo pro. While it remains a bit chilly outside…I’ve decided to play with a few of my older shots and have fun editing. Layers and model from free stock.

Waiting for life’s train… as it passes me by. Taken at Beijing Metro – Tiananmen East Station (I think).
You’re talkin’ to me…. or more to the point You’re “not” talkin’ to me….” / Riding the subway I finally managed to capture a cool snapshot of a New York moment. The position of the figures and that fact that no-one is looking at anyone else is amazing. I love the positions of the figures and their separateness and I think this picture depicts the mood and greyness of the subway. It’s also a bit of a Tony Soprano attitude…

This is a sketch i did whilst sitting on the sofa suffering from flu and Ive turned it into an exciting design. It simbolises everyday life on the surface and a secret world going on beneath the average persons feet. Make sure you check out my Bubble Site for more great designs, examples of which you can see below.

I was on the subway…standing. I saw this woman and quickly grabbed by Sony Cybershot—thank goodness I had it handy bcuz I couldn’t have taken this shot with my big Nikon…so I shot without a flash and captured her. She seemed such an ideal subject. I love to photograph candids like this…and if I get them while they’re reading it’s a very opportunistic moment. The Benefits of Reading / by LeAnn R. Ralph Did you know that reading can keep your mind active and engaged well into old age? Several years ago when I was working as a newspaper reporter, I interviewed a woman who was a resident at a local nursing home. She was 100 years old. And she read at least one book per week. Mostly novels. She was bright, intelligent and fun to talk with. “I love to read. It helps me keep up with what’s going on in the world,” she said. “A friend of mine brings me a new book every week. I look forward to her visits and I look forward to the books. We talk about the books we’ve read.” Reading has other benefits, as well. For one thing, reading a good story can help you forget some of the problems in your own life. “I can’t get around much anymore,” said the 100-year-old woman who lived in the nursing home. “When I go somewhere, I have to go in a wheelchair now. But when I read, I can go anywhere, anytime I want. And no one has to help me!”
Taken in a very textured subway. The time of day allowed the end of the tunnel to be well lit up. It worked well as a black and white image.
