For less expensive high quality prints of this photo, click here This is from a really fun shoot I did with a dancer from my dance class and some baby powder. I wanted to do some ballet portraits but I wanted to do something different from the classic portraits you see of most dancers. I had originally bought the baby powder to spread in the air to create a hazy feel to the photos, but we quickly realized that the powder wouldn’t stay in the air long enough so I had her experiment with throwing it.
I’ve bought six new IKEA glasses but one of them got broken when I washed it for the first time. Of course, I wouldn’t just throw it away, as well as my daughter couldn’t throw away a Camellia blossom she has found fallen at the ground two days later… / I believe these two imperfect subjects made a perfect combination. What do you think?
