Riverside. Stuart, FL
Shot during misty rain on Mt. Stuart, Townsville, Australia. / You ‘ll be able to see three spiders at the top of this pic (at least in larger versions) that I re-worked in Photoshop and also droplets of mist caught on their webs. / I’ve found that prints of this look better the greater the enlargement.

This is NOT meant as an insult It so happens that the man is covered in clown tattoos / .... I have a thing for clowns, somwhat / .... we had a conversation, once, where he kept calling me a clown and told me he was trying to see how often he could fit in calling everyone a clown that day. In other words, clowns are a-okay and non-insulting, under the circumstances. Or, under the circus dances, as I used to say. He is also a denizen of Edinburgh.
Shot in Stuart, FL overlooking the Intracoastal.

Some of you may know that cycling is probably my greatest passion. Here Stuart O’Grady and Bradley Mcgee cross the start line together in the final stage of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour. Stuart O’Grady managed to keep upright and won the tour overall after an amazing time trial the day before. This was to be Bradley Mcgee’s last race as a professional cyclist before he continues in a director’s role, congratulations Bradley on a wonderful career… Colour Selection done in Adobe Photoshop with layers, the rest done in Adobe Lightroom 2.0 Click here for my other Cycling Photos

Location: / Broomfield, nr.Herne Bay, Kent, England May 2009: It’s how small these trees seem to be in comparison to the clouds that appealed to me.

Location / Canterbury, Kent, England July 2009: A collection of the strangest coloured and shaped clouds led to a mad dash to the nearest wheat field, but despite the quick sprint up the road, the cloud that looked like a blue whale had gone, but what was left was still fairly impressive.
In central Australia rain is something which comes months or years apart. Not only is it separated timewise, but also location wise. It may rain in an area and then a flood will flow along valleys or depressions for hundreds of miles. These tracks are pretty much known and where a road crosses such lower level which may flood, appropriate warnings are given. You could be travelling at 130 kph on a day at 45 C with not a cloud in the sky and come to an area under 3 feet of water. The sign is enough distance from where the water can be that you have time to stop. There was no water on this day. Taken with a Pentax Z1p and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome 200 film
