It’s sad to think that once this house was beaming with life. Once there were children playing, a family sharing life and this window graciously helped to provide a protective veiw of the world outside for those it held within. Now it’s panes of glass are gone, allowing in the cold, rain, or even heat. The shades have been ripped from it’s base to blow senslessly in the wind. Left to physically show how that the empty house and the window above has been Stripped of Life. NOTE: This is the window of my previously named photo “Dalton Homeplace, Whitesburg, TN.”

I’ve been meaning to snap these statues (on the corner of Bourke and Swanston Sts in Melbourne) for a while. My friend and I were wandering past them on the Thursday afternoon before Good Friday when I noticed that someone had put a party hat on one of them … gives them some extra colour I think. So, I took this with my friend’s ‘point and shoot’ digital camera, which means I wasn’t able to apply any depth of field like I wanted – but I did manage to work out how to turn the flash off – but I think it’s still okay. / This is now part of my series: Statues Melbourne __

A break from the beer shots. / I need to sober up. LOL Still from my backyard though, I found these two old 35mm canisters, and an old length of 35mm film. Shot in colour and converted into Black and White, with added noise etc, to give it more impact. I hope you like it. / Thank you for looking.
