  • Lightning strike over Fremantle, Western Australia during A Summer Thunderstorm. Canon EOS 40D. Featured In: Lightning and Storms.

  • Striking shadows cast inside the old Fremantle power station late in the evening.

  • This photo was taken one stormy night after waiting hours for the right strike. The shot was taken by hand (no tripod) and was “lightning fast”. It is an amazing sight seeing the two forks coming from the one spot. Who says lightning doesn’t strike twice?

  • My fat cat, Buddy, striking a not-so-classy pose. :) He lives up to his name perfectly. He’s everyone’s buddy, even our pet rat’s. He’s been with us since summer, 2000, when my daughter befriended him and started feeding him … he was a stray no more lol Anyhow, he’s old now- not sure how old, and he’s been pretty sick off and on his whole life. Even so, he’s still as sweet natured and loving as ever.

  • / / Belted 2 is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s Belted series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, / Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / about this series / The Belted series came about when my stability ball burst. I use it to do my stomach crunches and sit-ups. I remembered the movie, “The Professional” and decided to belt myself to the edge of my bed to do my sit-ups, the way Leon did in the movie, until my new stability ball arrived. I ended up hooking a bunch of belts together and thought to myself “Hey, that would make an awesome photo prop!” and the Belted series was conceived. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / visit the rest of this series . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /

  • A battle without honor is like a mad dog. /

  • Lightning strikes ahead of a thunderstorm.

  • This was at Lake Arcadia, Oklahoma. This outbreak of Severe Weather started out as Several SuperCells Fired along a Dryline. There wasn’t enough energy in the Jetstream over head to feed the individual SuperCells. When that happens there tends to be a lot of Popcorn Severe Thunderstorms that “Pop up” on Radar, and they quickly Merge together forming a Squall Line running from southern Kansas, to Northern Texas.

  • That is roughly how far the bolt struck from me. I knew the stom was on top of me so i changed from my usual f9 to f13 just incase of a close bolt. didn’t realise it was gonna be that close. The house you see is one of my neighbours and with the surge in power blew 2 computers and a TV The bolt hit the reserve just behind their property. Can tell you it made me jump. The storm that I got this photo from hammered the Central Coast with heavy rain, Hail and strong winds. Appearing to get worse as it headed north from Woy Woy where this was taken. If you look carefully you can see the bolt continue behind the trees toward the ground. Taken with a Nikon D70 Photo featured in Mornings and Evenings, Sunbeams-Storms on the 14 March 2009

  • This was shot at Lake Arcadia Oklahoma….From “My therapy Spot”! This was by far my easiest lightning shoot to date! I nailed in a time span of about 10 minutes…20 GOOD lightning shots! More to come….

  • Cyanotype of Lucky Strike #13 on graph paper. 4×5 neg captured with an antique Graflex Speed Graphic. (for those interested, a cyanotype is a print made by painting the solution directly onto paper, contact printing the negative by exposing it to sunlight and developing it in water. It is the ‘greenest’ of all photographic processes.)

  • This one was close! Not thrilled with the f/g, but what can you do. I was out shooting in the opposite direction when without warning the storm got behind me. I was able to capture this bolt striking Black Mountain before heading for cover. Captured in Cave Creek, Arizona. Canon 20D w/ 28-135 IS USM @28mm. / Thanks for looking.
