  • OK, OK – I’ve held off for as long as I can….. Combining my love of industrial landscapes and my awesome 1957 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, I just couldn’t resist combining the two, so I re visited my favourite location, Sommerville Street, Sunshine and set up the new shot. Here the 57 Cadillac showcases the beautiful angles of the wrap around back windscreen and customised fins in natural light. I love the austere, clinical design feeling this image evokes. To me it’s pure design in all aspects of landscape through to automotive design.

  • Featuring my daughter Siena, Bored Intersection is one of those moments you get when travelling overseas with small children. Resting on a balustrade with head in arm, she gathers some momentum before propelling her small frame onward. What you find fascinating doesn’t actually connect with a six year old – “What you mean all those beautiful perfectly placed graphic signs aren’t doing it for you…. I ask politely?”

  • I tried to capture classic muted tones in this image – hoping for the illumination of reflective rain and wetness to add that special impact.

  • I’m finally at the end of my journey – and our final destination is Paso Robles (just 4 hours north of LA), yes, I’ve been to Italy, the Greek Islands etc, however, this is the biggy for me…. the West Coast Kustom Nationals – touted as the biggest and best kustom car show in the USA. And, can I say I’m not disappointed, it’s like swimming in a land of the best and coolest cars in the world, (pity I don’t have my 57 Cadillac with me).... Now this car is exactly as it appears here – not tricky Photoshop work at all… it has had 6 inches chopped from the roof and also the bottom of the car… It’s a driver and is actually staying at the hotel I’m staying at. As I’m writing this, I’m wearing a “Noble Fabrications” black T-Shirt given to me and my daughter as a present from the friendly driver. How cool is that! I am also photographing the 3-day event for an Australian magazine called “Hot Rod Revival” – so I’ll try and restrain myself and only upload one or two images as I don’t want to bore you all…. Anyway, how cool is this car!

  • Italians just love their concrete, and once in a while will throw a piece of modernism architecture in an industrial area. I had so much fun in the early morning veering off into these areas and exploring the barren streets. There is the quintessential red and white stripe pole in the far, far distance that smacks of industrialism in Italy.

  • My favorite personal photograph of New York. Nikon F3, Tmax 400 pushed to 1600.

  • I’d like to say this was shot somewhere exotic, however, it’s actually the Oakleigh Motel (Victoria).... great building though!

  • London 2006 ! / . Click to view

  • This guy was pretty cool, sitting there minding his own business, and I just had to get the shot. But as I lifted the camera and looked through the lens he just broke into this mean stare into the lens like he was gonna hurt me. I saw it and quickly pressed the shutter. Later I complimented him on his tattoos and showed him the shot and it was then that his frown turned into a broad grin…phew!

  • This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

  • Byron Bay, late afternoon, The Pass.

  • Attended the most amazing Rockabilly weekend festival in Las Vegas, and this was the view from the famous Gold Coast Hotel… Thought I died went back in time! Who wouldn’t want to live in that era!

  • During the dark of night life forces people to become completely honest with themselves. It is also a stage in which life strips people of all thoughts about themselves created by the society they live in. No red carpet today, but a backdoor in an alley and even the backdoor is closed. Will we experience the light? Not yet. We are still in a stage of darkness and we have to fight for the light. We have to fight for acceptance in our art. Does the closed door represent the need for acceptance, the ripped shirt nothing to hide. Be courageous and honest about your art. thank you to twinkletwinkle for being the eye behind the lens
