A small creek flowing under the relatively new bridge at Sinnissippi park in Sterling Illinois. Im unsure of the name of the creek. But the park is really nice, it has an 18 hole discgolf course and about 15 Hopewell indian burial mounds. / Sony DSC W100
I removed the original and replaced it with this version. I performed mild photoshop CS4 cosmetics to remove some of the shrubbery and then cropped a bit.
A ‘fused’ work involving multiple layers and elements.
On a recent trip to the North Yorkshire coast and moors, I met up with my fellow Redbubbler and wonderful friend Paul McGuire. He and I made plans to go and capture a sunrise one morning that week. After capturing the wonderful colours of the morning at Ravenscar, along Trail Acorn, we moved on to see what shots we could capture at a place that Paul knew about. It was a beach known as Smugglers Cove further back along the coast line. We had to travel a fews miles back and park at an out of the way pub, from which we hiked along a very old path engulfed in old twisted trees and stone paved paths which eventually met up with the well known Trail Acorn. We eventually found the secluded beach with the beautiful waterfalls flowing over the cliffs and into the sea. But before I show you those, I wanted to share this lovely scene of the bridge under which the small stream, the Hayburn Wyke flows. This was taken just above the falls and taken very low and looking up to the bridge which connects the walking path over the stream. There is something magical about this place. To get this shot, I had to jump across the small stream to the rock on the other side. The only problem was that it was very slippery. On my way back across, it was a tense moment when I thought I was going to fall into the water. I escaped getting wet by inches. Wheew! This is a HDR image combining 3 bracketed shots using Photomatix Pro for Macs, and making slight adjustments in the Enhanced Details as part of Tone Mapping.
