This enchanting fairy travels the night sky, blessing us with sweet dreams as we sleep the night away.
Sentimental and nostalgic. A little fairy girl in a magical place, imagining a world of hope. Quote: “You might say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope one day you will join us, and the world will be as one.” by John Lennon.
The whole order of nature evinces a progressive march towards a higher life. / —H. P. Blavatsky
Would make a nice Christmas present. Or even a house warming gift.
You will see this on another art site, under the ID of Eclectia. That is because Eclectia is me. So is DSWilde! Anything bad you read about either is only borne out of jealousy. * grin * Here is what the description says: I was inspired by a wonderful photograph of some stairs in France (you can find it in my favorites) to finish this piece. Took me several hours to complete – not quite sure how many severals but more than usual, I can tell you! I have many variations that now I must decide to toss or keep. This is how I end up with a room cluttered by disks! Thank you for the inspiration, handsome man whose name I forget! This illustration is for a story I started long ago, which has altered much over time, and so far is just something I amuse myself with. It is being considered to finally set it down all in words and to send it out into the world. I’m a little hesitant as once it is penned (so to speak) it will be permanently as written and. . well .. I guess all children must grow up and be what they will, even the ones we create in our minds and with our hands. Yes? and here is what the handsome man, whose name I forget had to say: *euristis:iconeuristis: Jan 9, 2007, 6:17:11 AM / wow! Thank you so much, your postwork is amazing! I’m honored! / — / You can answer me in French, English or Italian…as you wish / Portfolio: www.euristis.com / Personal (french): www.cerise-b.com Just so you know I had his permission to play with his stairs! / ...................................................................................................... The Mad Queen Ardeliah is from the land of Ordine, in the world of Ordem, in a parallel’esque universe. Or, if she’s not strictly from the land of Ordine, it is, at least, wherein she has/is reign(ed)
we were coming up with something inspired by a work by an artist you like in art, so i chose ghostpatrol’s “rabbit trumpet fanfare” and came up with this.
“Oh no!The Queen Of Hearts is in a foul mood again!! Is my head going to be next???” Run! Alice run! / / You can view and buy my other “Alice and Queen Of Hearts” creations at my Zazzle Gallery:
“Polar Torch Bears use their torchlight noses to not only help them hunt, but to look for underwater treasure left by the sunken ships.” For one assignment, everyone had to write one object and one animal and our lecturer jumbled it all up, and I got “polar bear” and “torchlight”. We’re supposed to create a creature fused with those objects and also create some sort of story for them and illustrate them in a children’s storybook manner as an example. I was thinking of having it use its nose to hunt for seals, and then when I was talking to a friend on the phone, he had a sudden stroke of genius and suggested that they’d hunt for treasure too. :D A lot of ‘accidents’ happened while doing this, but they surely created very interesting effects for the water!
Spring cleaning is hard enough without a little kitty trying to help! One of the first full illustrative works I did, inspired by the japanese Lolita fashion and done in coloured pencil

Title: Innocent Partner / Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas / Size: 500mm x 600mm / 2nd Prize winner in the Dunedin International Airport Art Awards / Original SOLD This was a painting I recently finished. It was an art challenge held by the New Zealand Art Guild. Four things ha to be incorporated in an artwork, they were: / innocence, orange, umbrella and triangle. Here is Little Red Riding Hood (the innocent) although she doesn’t look it here…with the Big Bad Wolf who has offered her shelter under his umbrella as it has started to snow again. She is on her way to take some fruit (orange amongst them) to her elderly Grandma who lives in a cottage deep in the forest. I wanted to interpret ‘triangle’ in the three character relationship i.e. Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf. Alternatively sections of the umbrella are triangular in shape.
brings nice little things to her grandma… it’s all alcoholic! part of a series with new adaptions of old tales
I wanted to do something special with a giraffe – this is my attempt. :) / I hope you like it… stock is sxc and my own This image has been digitally watermarked – if stolen or used without my permission can be tracked online.
First artwork in a new series I am working on inspired by the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In this iconic image, a beautiful but dangerous Queen of Hearts as femme fatale draws her finger across her throat to signify her threatening intentions. “The Queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great or small. ‘Off with his head!’ she said, without even looking round.” / -Lewis Carroll, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland “ Original artwork measures 19×25 inches, mixed media on gray Strathmore watercolor paper. This artwork took about twelve hours to complete over a two-day period. View more of my artwork at http://www.lynnetteshelley.com
