This image came about in an awesome way for me. Two weeks earlier, the model, Margrit, was telling me a bit about her life. She’s lived and travelled in many countries and taken lots of opportunities. She has also achieved great success with her photography. Several weeks later, I had an unusual chance to photograph her in an old train – the perfect location to reflect her life’s journey. / In Australia, Margrit has achieved her LAPS and AAPS, and is the only West Australian women to received international photographic honours AFIAP. Airbrushed and mixed media on canvas Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. acrylic on paper 14”x17” / Dancing in lighted pools of Jello-textured neon. “That’s the way to do it,” an old stranger called to the young man who, being suddenly aware of what he was doing, stopped, looked over his shoulder and glanced down at the ragged multi-colored sheet that was pulled tightly around his shoulders. He leaned back and peered up at the sun. Smoke rose from the side of a brick building and the odor or ginger floated through the air. The source of both puzzled him, as he remembered distinctly thinking he was the only person in the world just a few moments before. The old man smiled a toothless smear of flabby lips and bowed down to the dancing youth, who smiled back, jiggled aimlessly for a few seconds on thin, scratched legs and then sat down on a patch of grass in from of a building that had been painted by clowns. The young man pulled back the corner of his gown of rainbow hues and let out his heart, which had been beating all along, but in being freed, started to do a dance all of its own, though it had no legs. It also sang, which surprised the young man as he had always thought he was mute.

Infra red photo create this dark tone image with glowing skin tones. it’s what creates the mood in this image. film was processed in away that the grain will be emphesized to add to the drama.

Two Photo’s I merged together. I tried to bend the river photo by using a displacement map. this was unsatisfactory so i had to warp it using the liquefy filter. The water drops were added thanks to a tutorial on photoshop tv by Bert Monroy. Finaly. I used the burn tool to enhance the wet look of the pages. / I was disappointed that the drops on the left of the book seem to be hovering above the book, also I feel there are possibly too many drops. / Neil

No,I didn’t start painting but one of my friend realy influenced me for that macro picture of an icestick .The icestick was frosted on the rocs in the woods,the reason for those beautiful colors.I just add a bit of saturation to put up the beautiful blue because I think it’s his favorite color. / For my bubbler’s friend Nigel.. Kafka a man who loves «Le petit Prince» as much as I do…..... / «It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;what is essential is invisible to the eyes» / Antoine de Saint-Exupéry….. I see in that icestick a the little boy with a long white shirt ,the arms reaching to the sky with his head falling back,his legs are beginning to vanish….you know that moment when the snake bite him and went back to his planet …I clearly see the blue snake at his feet ….I know I know ...I have a lot of imagination but I realy see it …. :)))) .......Please take a look at Kafka’s work ,he a fantastic painter …x / / /

Got out to see the Grand Canyon for the first time in my life. I could not believe how queezy it made my stomach to get close to the edge. There are no railings to protect you from falling off the edge. Needless to say, I was very careful. And…YES THOSE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE ON THAT POINT…scary. The startling thing about the visitor’s first view of the canyon is how suddenly it appears. Driving across the flat Coconino Plateau south of the rim provides little preparation for the first view of the massive gash in the earth which is like nothing any first time visitor has ever seen before, anywhere. This is Mather Point. It lies at 7120 feet above sea level. The view northeast from Mather Point (shown below) looks out across O’Neill Butte on the south side of the river across to Zoroaster Temple on the other side. The north rim is about 10 miles across the canyon from this point. The depth of the canyon provides a progressive range of climates which supports different kinds of life. The temperature on the floor of the canyon may reach 120 degrees in the summer. Four of the North American continent’s “life zones” are represented within the park. Stretching 277 miles across northern Arizona, the Grand Canyon ranges in elevation from 2,400 feet to over 7,000 feet above sea level. In places, it is up to one mile deep and over 18 miles wide, while some of the canyon’s majestic plateaus to the north rise to 9,000 feet above sea level. We arrived late at night,my eyes were shining with admiration when I first saw that amazing manoir .It was just like in my dreams and I would spend a whole night in one of those beautiful bedrooms.The little boudoir looked so cosy with all the big sofas and the old imported carpet from the orient .I just felt like sitting down comfortably and relax for a few minutes.I closed my sleepy eyes just a second and open it as quickly, surprised by a cold draft on my neck…she was there with that half smile,sitting so straight on a little chair,an adorable girl with her funny crown and a mirror in her hands ....My husband said that I fell asleep and had a dream but I didn’t .I hope that you believe me …. / For my friend Geraint…. /

Presentation of my poetry book You may also purchase my second poetry book / (I could send it for you by post) ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. An illustration for the well-known story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, where she meets Mister Caterpillar. Who persists in asking her: “Who are you?” Done with oil pastel on cardboard, details added in with a normal pencil.

“The warning came too late…..no place to hide. We were down by the beach taking happy holiday snaps when the ocean started to recede. It took me a moment or two to realise what was about to happen. Everyone started to panic…..I could hardly hold a thought in my head with the sound of my heart beating and the adrenalin pumping through my veins. Then I remembered the cave we discovered at the end of the beach yesterday. That would be our only hope as we started to run. As we entered the cave I took one last look as the Tsunami hit….” Macro photograph taken from a palm tree, overcast day, camera set on aperture priority. Macro photography of bark, rocks and flowers are my passion. Always looking for that special ‘something’ thats a little bit different. Hope you enjoy my story and photograph!
