Isle of Skye, February 2007 :)
The Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, Scotland Skye is known as the “misty Isle” and with altitude this place is often under cloud. We were privaleged to witness a really beautiful dawn with colours and shadows changing every few minutes. I was pleased to share this day with Shawn Haselgrove, my companion on a memorable trip Canon 40D / Sigma 10 – 20 / 0.9 ND Grad / ISO 100, 1/40 @ F11

Just disappearing into the mist and clouds are the rocks of the Storr including the pillar called the Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland
This is actually a Road on Skye, but that didn’t sound as good. This was taken as we drove towards the Old Man of Storr, seen in the distance as the rocky outcrop.
Above Portree looking across the moor in Autumn to the incredible ridge and the Old Man of Storr.
The Old Man Of Storr A famous land mark on the Isle of Skye which can be seen from as far away as Portree this rocky outcrop dominates the sky line for miles around. / When we started the walk the sun was shining and it was a beautiful calm day but by the time we reached this height the weather has changed as it so often does on the west coast of the UK and heavy clouds came over blocking the sun and threatening rain.Fortunately this didn’t last too long but did give a rather dramatic look to this craggy landscape

Isle of Skye, Scotland
I have decided to scan some oldies from my 1st trip to Scotland, the UK and Ireland. / They may not be very large in size, but I think that some of them are worth sharing. / This one I took as I was travelling the north of Skye, and is just south of the Quierangs Mountain Range. / The Old Man of Storr is that piece of jagged rock like a splinter, just to the right of the main mountain, which is in the centre of the image. ==================
Can be found on the north east of Skye….....Trotternish / camera Eos 400D 300mm handheld :-)
