I didn’t plan on ever uploading this, but I’ve really come to like it. I’ve had it as my desktop background for a few days, and, despite its simplicity, I really enjoy it. This is a photo of a painting (original too big to scan) with slight colour changes made in Photoshop. The light effect was caused by the camera flash, and I thnk it works even better than the way it was painted. Used as background for Wish Upon The Rain

This is what was remaining this evening around 5:30, and after a day of horrific wind, and thunderstorms moving through Northern California. We had a severe wind warning; big rigs were pulling over on the I5 and the wind was almost impossible to drive in, gusting in every direction. The rain came down in torrants, and window wipers didn’t seem to help much and then just as quickly as it moved in, it was gone…the sun was shining through the clouds and the sun was beginning to set…..this is what was left, just Beautiful and Wild! ___ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Another late afternoon in the desert. These storm clouds lingered overhead for a while… but no rain was delivered. There is something magical about the sound of the wind through the kurkara (desert oak trees) on a hot afternoon as a desert storm approaches. Image captured September 2008 at Uluru.
