This is the Father of the singer in my band, Under Pressure. The band was invited to the singer’s family reunion and I took this shot of her Father while he was playing on their front porch. Red Truck Stop v2 was featured on REDBUBBLE HOMEPAGE on 16th August 2009 KFC / Art Deco District / South Miami / Florida Scanned from Original Kodachrome Transparency Just sitting at a table in a KFC restaurant when this truck drew up outside ~ got one frame before it moved off OVER THREE HUNDRED VIEWS ~ THANK YOU This was an award winning slide which I won first prize in a national magazine ~ The £1000 prize bought me my first digital camera “This shot was taken in South Beach, Florida, from the inside of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant. I was having a spot of lunch and my Nikon F100 was sat on the table. I saw this fantastic red truck ~ a cement mixer ~ grabbed my camera and managed to shoot one exposure before it moved off. I used a 35mm lens with a polariser and Fuji Sensia film and it was handheld and I relied on Matrix metering and the autofocus facility.” Scanned from Colour Transparency South Beach Miami Florida

Arr this was fun to take. I took my tripod plate off at home half an hour before this and left it behind so i had to take this long exposure trying to hold it still resting on the tripod. The only one that came out OK.

As Halloween is drawing ever closer I thought I’d upload this painting which I did back at the beginning of August… you can never be too earlier when it comes to Halloween! This is Oreo and he’s out and about Trick or Treating with his ghostly pals. As you can see his little pumpkin basket is already full to the brim making this, most definitely, ‘the last stop’ before they make for home! Acrylic on 200gsm watercolor paper. Shot from a loft view within the Old Cellulose Factory near Millicent in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. It was as if the machinery had been swallowed up and buried in situ when they closed this magnificent old factory. Went out today with Biggzie for a scouting session within the factory in prelude to the photographic session to be finalised soon with Tony Ryan from Melbourne. PS: Happy birthday Biggzie!!! Canon 400D 18-55 three shot HDr processed in Photomatix.

Sorry for those who have seen this before. I have been having trouble uploading with images not appearing in people’s monitors. This is the fifth attempt with this shot. Image taken on a scouting trip with Biggzie for an upcoming workshop visit by Tony Ryan from melbourne. Interior third floor of the old Cellulose Paper Mill between Millicent and Snuggery in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Canon 400D 15-55 lens three shot HDR in Photomatix.

I was fascinated by this green seaweed growing on these rocks by the shore – just had to capture them and so scaled down to an area I really shouldn’t have been near to get this shot. Nikon D80 / Sigma 10-20 – 14mm / f/11; 15 sec; ISO 100 / ND Filter – 10 Stop (HiTech) / 200+ views
