I’ve released a portfolio specifically devoted to my design work. In it you’ll find everything from cars, furniture, ceramics and a few sci-fi images. It’s a mixed bag that didn’t seem to fit well with my other work which is mostly digital and fine arts. You can access it by clicking here. Many thanks to the RB team for featuring some of my work on the Homepage!
DUMMY OF WEIRD OLD MAN SITTING ON A STOOL WITH BEARD RATHER FRIGHTENING WEARING FLAT CAP

taken in pyramid hill in an old warehouse near the train station.
Charcoal on recycled cartridge paper – life drawing class. I used recycled paper, firstly because it’s cheaper and secondly because it’s a bit softer, having a good tooth so it’s great for charcoal.

My Grandmother is from Germany where it’s common practice to pick wild mushrooms from the forests to eat . As a child I used to go mushroom hunting with my grandmother. There is nothing more beautiful than coming across a cluster of fresh wild mushrooms in the forest. The trick is to pick a few and leave the rest to spread their spores. Common Name: Inky Cap / Scientific Name: Coprinopsis atramentaria / German Name: Schopftintling Fact: Once picked, they start to deteriorate quickly into black goo that can be used as ink. They are edible only if you do not consume any alcohol a few days before and after they are eaten. This mushroom contains a chemical which prevents your body from detoxifying alcohol, and although it’s not commonly associated with death, it can cause cardiovascular problems and will make you violently ill if mixed with even the tiniest bit of alcohol.

Monsieur Baconnier is 74 years old and stills runs a working farm, keeping poultry and sheep and tending his veggie garden. I love the thought of him sitting in his stool at the end of the day, enjoying a glass of local red wine, looking out over his garden. Taken with a Canon 1000d, with standard 18-55 lens on a sunny day.

I am sort of fascinated by mushrooms. They grow out of decaying or dead plant matter (among other things that I don’t want to talk about…. ick, poo). / Thank you for viewing my work!!! Luckily it was free today as Mr Toad had gone to the library meeting.
A study in red. The wine is gone and the music has stopped. A spot light shines on a red barstool holding the remains of the evening’s illusion. Invisible now, without the garb of the masquerade, the lady has vanished.
Just my bit of whimsey! I saw something similar in Santa Fe for way too much money. So I made my own. My grand daughter took them away from me. No surprise to me. (o: / I had prints made of the Zebra twins paintings and decoupaged them to the seat. layers and layers of decoupage stuff and buffing. Then came the legs, nearly went blind with the stripes. Several days, an hour or two a day, I finally finished. No thanks to the bugs, and heat on my back porch. Now that I think about it, maybe those stools in Santa Fe were a bargain! LOL
this stack of stools just appealed to me…beautiful antiquities.
