Photograph of Miss B manipulated in ACDSEE Pro2 and ArcSoft Studio 5.5 to be reminiscent of the style of Dutch master, Rembrandt. The dress is by Historic Enterprises (Gwen Nowrick, www.historicenterprises.com) and is a recreation of a 14th century Flemish dress, so geographically, at least the thematic link has some basis in the real world. The stool is a copy of a Lund 3 legged stool that was very common in early medieval Viking houses, and was made by Steve Wyley (http://www.angelfire.com/planet/sventhemerchant/), a local living historian who is a member of the New Varangian Guard, a living history group in Australia. The lighting is 2 double 500W halogen work lights, which gives a quite Rembrandtesque feel in terms of color temperature and directionally.

This is part of the decor of a cafe with sweet rustic charm at Chiang Mai, Thailand. I just love the different pieces of objects that they use to add such nostalgic feel to the whole place. did some colour editing here to give it an older dusty look.

Red is the colour of danger. Don’t eat me, as I am poisonous. Green is the colour of envy, and yet supposedly a tranquil tone. Orange and brown are the colours of decay on the forest floor. Pines poison the soil around them, so nothing will compete for scarce nutrition. Nature imitates humans all the time.

The Eastern State Pen. is kept in this state meaning no signifacant attempts have been made at renovations or upkeep .This is done on purpose .Due to its ominous apperance,gloomy ,atmosphere and long history it is used as a location for movie and television shows Some notable ones are “Ghost Hunters” and MTVs Fear ,Terry Gilliams movie starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt “Twelve Monkeys filmed there and all over the phila area.On june 1 2007 Most Haunted Live ,conducted and brodcast a paranormal investagation live from this prison for an unprecedented 7 hours continuesly hoping to come in contact with supernatural beings .In june of 08 the movie Transformers ;Revenge of the Fallen was filmed here .Aside from being on the national historic regester it is also recognized by “The World Monuments fund” and made the list of the worlds most endangered cultural heritage sites If you are in the city of Brotherly Love you MUST see this mike

This was taken in Jamestown. I love furniture of this style. I don’t know what to call it, exactly. It feels German to me, but I don’t know that I could back that up.

A Soft Edge is a series of work I photographed while living on the road in 2004-06. This particular image was taken at the coffee shop/pool hall in Montana, that I would often frequent for a nice hot cup o’ joe and fabulous tunes. I fell in love with the shop, as it was in a wonderfully old brick building and had loads of character and it quickly became a favorite place of mine to shot photographs.
