  • A matter of perspective For I am there on the stony side of the road, / you are the one walking barefeet in the sand. For I am the one climbing over the highest rocks, / you can walk on the straight path leading to the goal. For I envy you of your smooth way of living, / you look at me with a longing. A longing I can barely understand - / but you are reaching out for grabbing my hand. I give you a hold and here you are - / on my part of the road where stones and cobbles lay. Without asking you look at me and smile: / ‘Why not walking together? Mile and mile? / The stony road looked comfortable to me - / more to learn and much more to see! / So I chose your side of the way … / and if you let me to – I’d love to stay!’ The arm I offer you with my broadest grin: / ‘Rejecting this would be a sin! / Or worser – an error it would be - / letting you go … my friend and not my enemy!’ So – along we stride on the rocky road … / and it seems as if we would be walking barefeet in the sand. Words by me as well! Although the way seems to be stony from time to time … it is worth walking it!
