  • Norway, the most beautiful country in the world – or so I personally think. Endlessly inspiring, every view mesmerising, I love it. I have tried to emphasise the ever-present tranquility by focusing on this pile of stones, quite a common site in western norway incidentaly. / I hope you like it!

  • What else can I say about Ithaca that may want you to visit! / / /

  • A laneway in the backstreets of Valencia, Spain. This was taken in June on a warm summer’s night. Everything was perfectly still and quiet down the lane. • We took a walk over to Camasunary beach in some pretty murky weather ( the Isle of Skye usually has perfect weather of course, HA HA !) / Sitting down enjoying a flask of coffee, there was a brief glimpse of sun, giving me a great photographic opportunity, which I took advantage of very hurriedly ! I processed my single RAW file in Photomatix, (HDR) and did a few more tweaks in PS CS3. Shot on a Canon EOS 40D, with polariser, underexposed by one stop to retain the darkness of the sky, f22, mounted on a tripod of course ! lens was my kit lens, 18-55mm Canon, which I no longer use having upgraded ! • This is one of my own favourite paintings. I did it over 20 years ago and takes prode of place in my Lounge room. I painted it off a photo my dad took on my parents first trip. A few years later I was able to go there myself and find the spot and take my own picture, mine was not as appealing as dad’s as the mountains did not have the nice layered look as this one. Painted in Oils.

The old city of Derry is one of the finest examples of a walled city in Europe. Canon EOS 450D, 18-55mm lens. Tone mapped in Dynamic-Photo HDR, slightly desaturated and brown-toned Orton effect applied, and some film grain for atmosphere. /

  • Went for a drive around town today and found this, its amazing how you can take pictures at a certain spot, and go back there on another day and see something you didn’t see the first time..that’s what happened today. Just a wall on the back of a old business in town. Nikon D90 / 18-200 mm VR Lens /

  • www.galleriamancuso.com / blog / 2010 calendars This image just sort of evolved on its own. I’m not sure where I was going with it when I started but this is what I ended up with. There are three images, the main (silhouette) was actually taken on the Great Wall of China but it could be anywhere. Nikon D80, 1/125, f/5.3
