  • Knitting is one of several ways to turn thread or yarn into cloth.Similar to crochet, knitting consists of loops pulled through other loops. There are two varieties of knitting, weft knitting and warp knitting.Warp knitting is generally done by machine, whereas weft knitting may be done by hand.A knitting needle or knitting pin is a long stick or rod used as a tool in the manufacture of hand knitted fabric. Knitting needles have also been called knitting sticks, knitting pins, knitting wires, or simply wires or rods.

  • At times when menacing skies deliver a statement formatted in dark clouds, make sure to read the small drizzle carefully. Occasionally known to be a person who doesn’t want his determination undermined by a rational argument, I ignored it. A mosaic of randomly placed stones left a peculiar grinding sound with each step I made, unbalancing me on a couple of occasions. The uneven surface, unfamiliar environment and cold southerly wind stretched the beach to its maximum size. Here they were, lying hopeless before me. The leviathans from green oceans of alpine rainforests have lost their biological contest. The faith may not be swift, but certainly inevitable for the beached whales of a different kind waiting for their demise on an unforgiving southern coast. I put my hand on them. Their rugged bodies felt eerily warm. No matter how big or strong one may be the law of existence refuses to give up on you. You can postpone it, but not avoid it. Life will be repossessed, the body recycled and today’s eternity will become history.

  • Love of beauty is Taste. The creation of beauty is Art. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

  • A friend of mine blew-out her knee and had to get surgery on it. She is very into sports. The only doll I could find was a ballerina and I couldn’t leave her in her tutu…........ / . / SO…....I took a ballerina Barbie, put her in some of Ken’s clothes, cut her waist length hair (my friend’s hair is short), cut her leg with a xacto blade and stitched up the cut with a needle and thread and made her a crutch out of a chopstick (from rb tee) and rubber for the armpit padding. / . / I am going to send it to her with one of my Goldfish Funeral cards. I’m going to write…Things could always be worse! / . /

  • Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed. Storm Jameson (1891 –1986)

  • The old chapel at the bottom of the hill at Monsalvat in Eltham, Victoria, Australia. Montsalvat consists of a series of unique and distinctive buildings in the European style set in over 12 acres of parkland. A lot of materials came from the many beautiful buildings of Melbourne that were being demolished to make way for modernization. The addition of mud bricks, rammed earth, the local mud stone , bush timbers, and a great deal of hard labour, Justus Jörgensen’s vision took form. A stitch of 5 3 exposure HDR’s so 15 images in total, black and white conversion in Adobe Lightroom and added in some grass to make the foreground a bit more interesting. Stitched together in Adobe Photoshop CS3 My other photo of Monsalvat here Click here for my other images of Victoria
