Just home from 2 weeks in Austin, Tx with SXSW as the main object. Lots of great artists playing there among the 1500(!) bands/artists on the schedule. R.E.M. did a great concert, and Michael Stipe is the perfect photo object, doing different poses while at the same time being one of rock’s most characteristic and best voices.

Everyone seems to be cashing in on Obama mania in the states and else where so why aren’t you? I decided not to do just a boring horay for Obama design and thought it much more entertaining to give him funny glasses. It is generally seen in areas of relatively strong water movement along the fringes and slopes of coral reefs. This flag is so enormous that it takes two huge cranes to hoist it into the sky! This photo was taken just before the fireworks began in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on the fourth of July. The moon was barely showing through the gray clouds in the distance, but the skies overhead were clear and perfect for the fireworks show that was about to begin! Happy birthday USA! The Flag At Twilight This photo was just taken on July 4th, 2009. It was shot with a Canon EOS 10D using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens set to 60mm. The shutter speed was 1/4th sec. at f/4. The camera’s ISO was set to 400. No Flash. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable. Your comments are always welcome!
