  • ICE COLD LITLE PIECE OF FROZEN HEAVEN, I FOUND IN 2 RIVERS. THIS IS THE KIND OF SPOT THAT WOULD BE PERFECT TO MAKE SNOW-ANGELS. PROBLEM IS, ONCE YOU LAID ON YOUR BACK IN THE SNOW HERE, THERE’S A GOOD SHOT THEY WOULD BE AIR LIFTING YOUR FROZEN ASS OUT. ON THE PLUS SIDE, THE WATER IS SO CLEAN YOU COULD PROBABLY DRINK IT RIGHT OUT OF STREAM. I CHOSE NOT TO PRESS MY LUCK.

  • ....ROCK ON, BRUTHA…..

  • Picture of a Man-of-war on the beach with lively colors. Jupiter Beach Inlet, florida.

  • This is a Nomada Bee, they rest by gripping onto leafs, grass stems etc with their jaws. This is a composite of several different shots to achieve a greater Depth of field. Taken with Canons Mpe65 and mt24ex twin flash.

  • Just beside my bedroom window. What they are building is the hexagonal palace for a colony consisting of them, babies and queens keeoing future in mind. They work all day along and I can see them flying off and then again coming back without wasting time. They are helping each other out by sharing the work load and they are coherent among themselves. They have the courage to build such a huge palace with only few of them. They are hard working and passionate about their work. Put your ears closer and you will be able to listen to the song they are singing “We shall overcome … “

  • This Paper Wasp appears to be supervising those below it (hence the image title).

  • Joe Sumner, son of Sting, supporting The Police with his band, Fiction Plane.

  • I was in a very vintagey mood today mmm … honeycomb =p

  • It is hard to shoot through glass, but this one came out well.

  • I had a lot of fun following this guy with the camera. He was busy but took time to pose.

  • Ever wondered how nettles sting? This 100x magnification of a nettle leaf reveals a hidden wonder of nature, a myriad of tiny barbs that the plant grows to protect itself. These tiny spines are made of silica, the same stuff of sand and windows, but here loaded with formic acid. This photograph is untouched, and is left “as is”.

  • Paper wasp tending to its nest. When this was taken it was fanning the nest with its wings probably for temperature regulation.

  • Lead vocalist with The Police, and later as a solo artist, also actor. From a low-paid Tyneside teacher to a mega-rich Global superstar. Well, which would you choose?

  • I visited the North Island of New Zealand in Febuary 2009 and was lucky enough to get out for a dive to the Poor Knights Islands. Famous for its good sport fishing and even better scuba diving ever since they declared this area a marine park. This scorpion fish sat still for long enough for me to make his porttrait and capture his beautiful colours. Diving was done with Yukon Charters, Tutukaka.
