I originally drew this as a card for my brother. My friend pointed out it’d make a good card (she isn’t particularly bright) so yeah. Either way it was done with black fine-liner on white paper. Ooh! Thought of a bad pun for the title: Don’t Play With Mattresses.

Hello all, I am embarking on a new adventure through Redbubble which hopefully will start over the next couple of weeks (if time allows me) / I have been inspired by alot of work lately, and would like to attempt contributing to that so others may be inspired also. My first attempt is based around my ‘Devil and Stickmen’ work – it became apparent to me very quickly that this sort of Artistic challenge theme is not only fun but can be very inspiring – both to myself and others, as i found out when Sam Dantone (who won the first challenge and has one of his works displayed as my portfolio picture) told me of his inspiration and subsequently brought out a collection of pieces all interlinking between one another with this ‘theme’ i am trying to achieve…...the inspirer has become the inspired it would appear!! After this at some point i am going to try my hand at some vector art! / Then we will see where we go from there…. So anyways, this may be a little confusing right now but look out for my new collection pieces and hopefully, Enjoy!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Art lovers and Creative Geniuses of the Redbubble Community…... The Devil is truly amongst us!........................ / And he has some minute minions who are hell bent on causing you trouble! / (what they dont know is they actually bring you enjoyment) The Devil and his Stickmen Minions Part 2 will soon hit your screens, so be prepared and on the look out because as the name will now suggest: this is a 2 part ‘interaction’ piece. / Theres no hiding of information here either…....The stickmen were arguing over who got the last slice of toast at breakfast – This has led to a major breakdown and they are fighting each other with no mercy to rid their hunger!! But who wins??..........You, the viewers, will be the voters – whichever stickman achieves the highest amount of votes is the winner – nice and simple yes? After this, the second part of the challenge will commence. The contestants (as you will then be known ha) will draw the winning stickman – set out to basic principles within the original fighting scene! / I will then become the Judge and pick the winner. The time limit on the voting will be 2 days(from start) – i have to do this manually as im not a group! Time limit on drawing will be 4 days(from start). If anyone has any questions about this let me know and i will clarify but dont worry as all details will be re-iterated throughout the challenge. I hope your all ready, just remember this is just for fun…..oh wait, no! This is to have your stickman doodle as my Profile Picture!! Not alot more i can do sadly but i hope this reaches enough redbubblers to get your works viewed more as a result! Spreading the love haha / (please dont attempt drawing your stickmen now as their WILL be principles set out on the original fight scene as alreadty mentioned.) So the battle has commenced, the prize of the last piece of toast lost in the flames and its your job as the viewer to pick a winner from these finely tuned fighting machines…..The Stickmen Minions! Please comment with your vote on which stickman arises from the fires of hell victorious then in 2 days time when the votes have been counted – its draw off time! Your pick of stickman 1-6 coincides with the list below of their own capabilities and weapons! / Any questions, just ask….....Voting ends Thurssday 12h March 09 ~ 00:30am / Please NOTE that you do not have to enter a drawing if you do not want to however all and any votes will be warmly welcomed! 1) The Tactician – this stickman is trained for special Air combat taking out enemy forces from above with his high powered machine gun. He also carrys a spare parachute to avoid any embarrasing death. 2) The Jackal – A predator by nature, but not in war. This stickman finds all the best look outs and is a deadly shot on a good day…..with his super long range sniper rifle. He also wears a bandanna because he can! 3) The Case – First name Nut, this stickman is a true fighter – a believer in hand to hand combat, carrys 2 daggers to help protect those hands and likes to scream at his targets before he reaches them….......Complete Nutcase! 4) The Warrior – This stickman is full of self belief but has no battle knowledge. He spends most of his time watching japanese films, suffers from schitzophrenia and is currently wielding a katana. 5) The Wimp – Best friends with the warriors alter ego, he finds a suitable hiding place in which he stays….........until he sees someone with their back turned, then he means business! great thrower of grenades, sucks his thumb and likes fluffy bunnys. 6) The Tank – Owns tropical fish and enjoys quiet walks by the beach! A monster in his own right but keeps his form as a stickman to avoid confusion….i think. He bought 150 magazines to get all the pieces for his rocket launcher and he is a proud stickman. Let the voting commence…...and enjoy yourselves!!

This was inspired by my son who at one point loved to draw stickmen armies. He told me to draw a stickmen army fighting a terrible foe… this is what I came up with.
