  • Petronas Twin Towers
    by David Sundstrom

    US$5.16–US$117.80

The Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This shot was taken on a recent work trip, I was fortunate enough to get a little time off to explore KL.

  • This illustration was created for an identity (logo) design but never used. No bullshit. Makes a pretty gutsy looking t-shirt though. There is a camel and a lizard created in the same style if anyone is interested.

  • British Museum
    by Roddy Atkinson

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The central quadrangle of the British Museum in London was redeveloped during the late 1990s to a design by Foster and Partners to become the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court, commonly referred to simply as the Great Court. It was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000. The court has a tessellated glass roof designed by Buro Happold covering the entire court and surrounds the original circular British Museum Reading Room in the centre, now a museum. It is the largest covered square in Europe, bigger than a football field. The glass and steel roof is made up of 4878 unique steel members connected at 1566 unique nodes and 1,656 pairs of glass windowpanes making up 6100m2 of glazing each of a unique shape because of the undulating nature of the roof. • Well Kellie, you’re right. Creating silhouettes / are NOT as easy as they look! I won’t be doing / it often, that’s for sure..heh. But I can’t thank / you enough for inspiring me to try. I wish I could / say there was some deep, meaningful reason for the / title, but in truth, I had absolutely no idea what / to call it and it’s the first thing that popped into / my head! I wanted to make you something, since you’re / so busy making stuff for everyone else. You are very / appreciated!! Organics versus Mechanics

  • Does what it says on the tin. The Photo-Inversion Flower grows nowhere on Earth. / But you never know. / Its translucent petals show anything behind it in negative. Possible causes for this are the presence of cyanoethyl cobaloxime complexes in the petals but sadly none have ever been recovered for study due to the very probable non-existence of it. / It is also commonly known as the Catarli flower, this is thought to be a reference to Ctrl + i* It is pictured here on a wrought-iron gate (actually stainless steel) to show the effect, the design of which is mostly geometric and has a solid plate welded in behind the lightbulb which is a symbol for thought. The whole thing took about two weeks and I spent the first measuring out the gate and pillars meticulously. Then I put in the lightbulb and the flower. I spent as long rubbing stuff out as I did laying stuff down and left the patina on the lower end of the gate, that’s at least how dark the page would be if I hadn’t erased everything in the gaps around the different elements as I went along. / If anyone actually wants a copy let me know and I’ll go get it scanned properly. I only uploaded a small one here as the transfer was going so slowly at full size. / If anybody’s curious to know what’s beyond the gate the answer is a page Pencil on A3 and PS / Original for sale Add *theyellowfury to your watchlist Copyright © 2008 Simon Deevy. • Invisible City
    by Peter Kurdulija

    US$4.66–US$106.40

The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.

  • For a change I wasn’t the one welding so I took the oppurtunity to get a few shots in.Always enjoyable watching someone else work.

  • Maheno Wreck - Fraser Island
    by Garry S

    US$6.65–US$152.00

What else should I call it…If you have been to Fraser Island you have also seen this wreck. The challenge for me were the king tides. / High Tide was at 9am but even before sunrise at 5am the tides were coming in so strong that I had to leave before sunrise. Otherwise I would have been stuck here (but safe) for many hours. / You are not supposed to camp 500m either side of the wreck…well, I didn’t camp. Just had a power sleep in the car as I really wanted to capture the wreck at night and then at dawn. And guess what…I was the only one…haha, no tourists
