This is a small village in the Harz mountains, The Harz Narrow Gauge Railway is a very popular mode of transport, especially with tourists. Many people come to the Harz mountains just for this old fashioned steam train.
Taken out the window on my steam train ride.
On a private railway track at Bristol Docks , this little steam train works away much to the delight of the public , the noise and smell of this engine brings back childhood memories when all of the trains were similar to this one

The title & aged effects used in this image probably make me seem a tad older than I am! lol. I do however have many fond memories of countless steamtrain journeys throughout South Australia during my childhood & teen years in the 70’s & 80’s : ) It was actually during a trip in 1989 chasing the Flying Scotsman from Pt Augusta back to Adelaide that I first got the photo bug :) This image is of the SteamRanger Steamtrain 621 at the Mount Barker Station in the Adelaide Hills.

On Sunday 26th July I took my little boy, Andrew 3 and my youngest daughter Alex, whose 10 for a Train Ride…we had gone to the Markets but the old steam train Capella was cranking up and her steam was blowing, it was too hard to resist, so on we jumped and we started our fun…Riding Capella. This is 16/30 in the Series. / I have quite few of Riding Capella because she is such a beautifully, old restored girl that I wanted to capture all her glory whilst riding…she even has WW2 memorabilia that I will bring you…I hope you enjoy my day out with my children, Riding Capella… Capella lives at the Ravenshoe Train Yards, F.N.Q where you can ride her every Sunday at 1.00pm from Ravenshoe to Tumoulin on a track only used by her now, they even have scones! Great fun out for anyone. The vintage metal Emergency Pull the Chain Down sign.
