I have the original of this on my wall at home. / It too was a Picture Riddle at Life Cafe in New York based on a menu item. / It is one of the best pastel drawings I have done. / Pastel is just great, you can achieve effects like you can do with oils, blending and smoothing in the colours. I was especially pleased with the sfumato effects and the modelling- it looks convincing as a real three dimensional object- rather then the product of my imagination. Dry pastel on Canson black pastel paper.
