  • Platforms 5 and 6 at Southern Cross Station (the old Spencer St)in Melbourne just after dawn. Captured with HDR processing in mind which asked for 3 bracketed exposures each 2 stops apart. / I have some info about HDR at my pbase if your interested

  • This is my first “request” – thanks Cathleen. I used to love this station, but the powers-that-be decided Blyth didn’t need the railways any more. Since then, a fantastic Metro train network has been created in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear and guess which town is left out because we no longer have rail tracks. I did an earlier version of this picture, on which this is based. Here it is:

I was experimenting with my new Compact Digital, trying to capture a light trail as my train came into the station. It took a few tries but I was pretty happy with this result.   • A stairway leading to one of the London Underground Tube Stops. I can’t remember if this is the Gloucester rd. Staion or the Covent Garden station…we were up and down and in and out of so many tube stations that I can no longer remember – I did however remember to take the lift from then on… :) – so many stairs!! – 139 I believe…according to the Station Master announcements.

I remembered the saying .. brotherly love.. to tell you the truth , I didnt really expect it. but , I was very surprised pleasantly , to be given the courtesy by strangers .. of a hello..and of stopping their cars to let me go “jaywalking”.. and the like.. it was great to see this . This photo was taken from inside of the beautiful train station at 12th street.. where there is a huge room, with a window to the skyline I layered this with a velvia film …

  • For all of you out there who remember Mods & Rockers in the 60’s. Saw this beauty at Buckfastleigh Steam Train Station. A great example of a real Café Racer. Triton. / The engine is a 1958 Triumph T110, nicely nestled in a 1955 Norton Featherbed frame. Hand Held capture. Hope you like it. / Thanks for looking. Best Viewed Large.   • Canadian National Railway station and Home Grain Company elevator. / Both structures, originally located at Bellis, Alberta, Canada, were built in 1928 and moved to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village in the late 1970s for preservation.
