Some moments are so powerful to our memories that we wish to repeat them and to contain them for eternity. Rarely do we get to repeat them, and so they become special to us. / I share some of my own moments by way of my camera. -Jack
Situated near Coleambally, NSW Tubbo Station is a 7000 acre property managed by Four Arrows Rural Management. In 2008 & 2009 i was fortunate enough to spend a fair bit of time at Tubbo photographing the woolsheds, and the shearers who work at Tubbo. This collection is the culmination of time spent out at Tubbo and i would like to thank Four Arrows for allowing me the opportunity to access Tubbo; to Damian Smith (manager) for allowing access to all areas; to Rob (Urana Shearing Contractors) for allowing me to spend time with the men and women who work the sheds of the Riverina; and a special thanks to all the shearers, roustabouts and cooks that put up with me – especially, Sarah, Josh, Robin, Scott, Chris, and the Fridge. Thanks so very much.

When the California Gold Rush came into full swing, California became a magnet for tall ships delivering goods and men ready to seek their fortunes in the Hills of Gold. However, the ragged California coastline with its hidden shoals and submerged rocks is dangerous for mariners. Lighthouses, light stations and light towers were built at the most dangerous points. Today the almost-300-year era of manned California lighthouses is over, but many lighthouses are still in use, and over a dozen are open to the public, alive with stories of days gone by. This lighthouse wall calendar showcases some of California’s traditional lighthouses, beautifully capturing 13 of them from Point Loma to Battery Point. These picturesque and historical light stations enhance the stunning beauty of the Pacific Coast. Those who love lighthouses and those who are homesick for California are sure to appreciate this magnificent lighthouse wall calendar..
