Moods of Mallabula Series / Best Viewed Large At low tide the Tilligerry foreshore is a wonderful place to explore, with it’s broad sand flats, rock platforms and pools. At high tide on a hot day, it’s a cooling spot for a swim; the best place to take dip is under one of the many Tea Trees which overhang the water along the boardwalk between Mallabula and Tanilba Bay. /

“Rainy Day On The Mulberry River” / Fall has arrived!!!!! As Is…...... / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Sometimes during the fall season, Arkansas is subjected to rain storms rolling in. It makes the light for photography a bit more difficult, but it doesn’t dampen my spirit because it sure adds mood. With the cool air meeting the / warn air, in comes the fog, adding a warmer touch to the otherwise bold colors of this fall scene along the Mulberry River. This shot was taken by turning off from Highway 23 South, also known as the “Scenic Pig Trail Bypass”, on to Arkansas State Highway 112. This is one of my favorite little places in NW Arkansas, its peaceful and quiet from the sounds of man that is. The forest is alive with the songs of the birds, and the animals that scurry throughout the forest. and of woodpeckers that sound like a jack hammer echoing throughout the woods. Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

Old Mans Cave Upper Falls (TOP of FALLS) / The most popular of all the Hocking areas is Old Man’s Cave, located on S.R. 664. Here at Upper Falls, the Grandma Gatewood Trail begins its six-mile course connecting three of the park’s areas: Old Man’s Cave to Cedar Falls to Ash Cave. This same trail has been designated as part of Ohio’s Buckeye Trail as well as part of two national systems—the North Country Scenic Trail and America’s Discovery Trail. Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end. I searched the internet for a really long exposure of Tahquamenon Falls but couldn’t find one. So I figured that my first real shot with my new 10 stop filter would be of this amazing falls. This is a blend of 3 long exposure shots. The first one was 4 minutes, the correctly exposed one was 5 minutes and the bright one was 6 minutes. / Black and white to come soon. / Canon xsi / B+W nd 1000 / B+W CPL

Converted the color long exposure to LAB color and used the lightness channel as a base. Added a cooling filter to give it that icy cool. / Canon XSi / B+W nd1000 / B+W CPL
