14 February 2009 ~ Late afternoon ~ Snapper Rocks On Friday a low pressure system formed off Gladstone late on Friday generating a large storm swell along Australia’s East Coast. By Saturday afternoon the swell had risen to a rather decent size making the paddle out rather precarious! (Canon 40D, 500mm handheld, touch of contrast, minor crop, no photoshop)
This sexy retro pin up (the one blocking the hot car) is another installment from the Helen & Jo Collaboration Duo but with a twist! I invited Jeff Burns, host of the Selective Coloring Group to work some of his magic to make this image pop. Ok I will confess I am in love with Edward Cullen. Who isn’t! I am a little Twilight obsessed at the moment and Megan Dacy sent me a bmail suggesting I have a go at creating something Twilightesque. I love a challenge….and challenging it was! So here it is :) I hope you like it! Hello, Today we released a new version of RedBubble – but there were problems so we ultimately reverted back to the previous version. Today’s update included an upgrade to the magic we use to build RedBubble (Ruby on Rails version 2.1). Unfortunately Ruby on Rails Version 2.1 broke RedBubble. Specifically it broke the ability to report activity. We tested version 2.1 on our test instances of RedBubble – and all looked fine. But there’s something going on with the live site that we don’t understand. After releasing today we tried for two hours to get to the bottom of the problem – but with no joy. This is a hard problem. So we decided to revert back to the old website while we dig into the details (it’s never good idea to fix a hard problem under time pressure). With any luck we’ll have the problem(s) solved by this time tomorrow and we can re-release this update to RedBubble. Thanks for you understanding – and thanks to John and Xavier who are going to have a busy 24 hours. Cheers, Peter edit – There are still a couple of layout issues since we have rolled back to the older version. We’re working on them now. Thanks for your patience. Ready, set go! by eileenlangsley

This was taken while on a Fall Color trip with my Dad (Tim Denny). To no surprise I cannot remember the highway for the life of me. Someday, if I am lucky, there will be a DSLR with voice activated location logging…LOL!! Maybe I should not laugh. Please View Larger
More from In the Garden Set For those wondering the core was already there but I did place the other whole one on the bench. This is taken in the La Cock grounds, where photography was born.
I have been really surprised by the kind of attention this photo has received. It has been sitting in my archives for awhile. I really thought it was a nice shot when I took ti but later had my doubts. Some 20 days ago or so I decided to post it and found there to be much more of a positive response than expected. Today, November 23, 2008 I found that the Country Roads/Around the World group featured this image. Thank you very much. This is a revised version. The original post can be found here – Rolling Start Thank you all for such a nice response to this photo. Please View Larger
