  • Wanted to give this photo a feel of the 1930s/1940s. Like a publicity shot taken of a Hollywood star.

  • Model – Red Bubble’s very own beloved Miss T Shot on location at the soon to be defunct Bond Lounge Bar in Melbourne’s CBD, this shoot was only a success because of Teer’s tireless efforts to find me a location and organise everything on the day, being that I live in Adelaide and know F-all about Melbourne’s spots. / So all praise must go to her for being not only drop dead gorgeous, but a fabulous little organiser to boot. • Amidst the green light of sunset and seaspray, they caught the scent of cherries on their tongue, scarlet gloss and juice, filled with the flavour they imagined dirty pretty words like incarnadine to taste of.

  • Reminded me of the old stills Hollywood used to shoot for the stars…. Canon 40D / F/5 / 1/60th of a second / ISO -400 / 65 mm

  • That’s her name, ask her again and she’ll tell you the same :) Yep that’s what the tag says on her ear. She must be extra special. She is a genuine Texas Longhorn, she has the horns to prove it :) Isn’t she grand??? I just took this today, August 11, 2008. Went out for a job interview, stopped back by and took more photos of these beauties. It’s a cloudy, overcast day here in Texas, 93 degrees with scattered thunderstorms in the forecast. Pray for rain, we need it.

  • You step out of a limo and suddenly are assailed by a barrage of camera flashes, noise and fans. On one level it must be a nice validation, but on another surely you’d prefer it if things were a bit quieter? Hard to imagine what this feels like… Features (and could arguably be the standout image) in my 2010 Movie Premieres Calendar

  • Bewitched She picks boughs of magnolia from the tree in her garden and brings them to me in her fist as though she’s bringing me blooms of her heart to plant as my own. She takes a day off work, treats herself to a drive in the country and leaves 50’s starlet fiction and bites of toffee treacle honey sugar on my doorstep before ringing the bell and skipping away. She reads the language of my face. She paints the clouds with a thousand different reminders, then captures them in a butterfly net and pins them to my wall. She’s the ink and words from a Golden Book come to life. She plays the Mad Hatter so I can play Alice. She knows about the hidden debris, the mess, the harrowed whispers you don’t ever say out loud. And she loves me anyway. copyright © 2008, Holly Ringland.

  • Contrasting ink portrait

  • 12 Hand drawn ink portraits of silver screen starlets.

  • Model/MUA: Meluxine I know I’ve been horribly slack with updating this gallery, but I’m back. / Aaaaand I’m selling prints, but not through RB – you can’t sign them or anything. / Mail me privately if you’re interested in purchasing my work. Copyright 2009 Harmony Nicholas

  • Divine photography by Cathryn Swanson I did the editing bits. Original Image /

  • I think I may have just started a new series without meaning to….

  • It’s funny how opportunistic photos happen. I was in an old movie theater in a small town and had to use the bathroom. This bathrrom had B&W vintage photos of old movie stars wallpapered all over the bathroom. I was at the urinal (peeing)...and there was a plant on top with Vivian Leigh (Scarlett) peeking at me. I had to make the “Splendor In The Grass” moment last longer…so I took this photo immediately. (...at least I think it’s Vivian Leigh).

  • VINTAGE STARLET / photography by chappel / edit by chappel / model a / model b / studio shoot / black and white vintage movie starlet / an earhart chappel photograph

  • Dressed my daughter in my Mother’s gown from the 1940’s and my Grandmothers costume jewelry from the same era. Styled her hair to fitting for that time. Shot in raw with my Canon Rebel XT and converted in CS3 added filters to give a soft glamorous feel.

  • View All Art » 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 / / Ascension is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist, Jaeda DeWalt’s, The Light series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. Image photographed using a digital camera and remote-controlled shutter release. About this image / I was hesitant to post this image because it doesn’t have that pristine, whispering from the ethers appeal, that i like to create with my photography. But the more i looked at it, the more it grew on me and i began to embrace the flaws for the unique beauty they offer. My eyes look weird, like i am in a trance… it’s a very grainy image, not quite right… but strangely, that is what makes this image work for me. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, / Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / You might also like / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / / / View All Art » 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
