  • The textures and colours of this Stargazer Lily really captivated me, it almost looks like the surface of another planet.

  • Taken with a Canon XTi. This was taken in my friends garden this summer. The plants were huge and so were the blossoms. Beautiful to see in person.

  • Found these waterdrops sitting on a close-to-dead leaf in my garden :) Found it under a few small shrubs. Canon 450D, Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8, Manfrotto 055CPROB

  • Well here’s my first decent attempt with my new macro lens. I finally went out and bought some flowers to photograph. I added a black posterboard background and put the vase on the kitchen counter by a window. I took a bunch of shots with my camera mounted on my tripod and used manual focus and the self timer. Not perfect but not bad I think. I decided not to edit it right now. I think I’m going to have some fun with this new lens. :-D Any suggestions for improvement? • Best viewed large One of the most stunning and perhaps most celebrated lily varieties is the stargazer lily. Known for its striking blooms and heavenly scent, the stargazer is a fantastic choice for a number of occasions. Delicate, bold, and fragrant all at once, stargazers can say Congratulations, I’m Sorry, and everything in between. /

  • This took me quite some time. It started out as a sunflower fairy who I incorporated into the design of the moon. I then had the idea of creating and adding another ‘being’ to sit curled up and gazing at the stars. All total artistic fantasy and I so enjoyed doing it!

  • The alpha star, Vega, is part of the Summer Triangle asterism. Vega was also the first ever photographed star. Check out my Zazzle store Asterisms, Constellations and the Zodiac.

  • This intensely scented lily revs up every August, filling the whole garden with its unmistakable fragrance. A real winner!
