We wanted to send man to the moon. / We did. We wanted to supply man with a / way to communicate through fiber optics. / We did that too. But what happens when the / human counterpart is so reliant on technology, / that it forgets to…be human? Numbers, dates, / appointments all stored in a portable database. / Families forget to interact with each other because / they all have a human counterpart that they can connect / with. Patience is a thing of the past because anything / they want is at their fingertips. Ideas are unoriginal / because they have all been thought of before; typed, dated, / and logged. Most people see strength and power when they look at the begal tiger. However, I see vulnerability for this critically endangered species. We have lost three subspecies of tiger in the past 50 years due to hunting: the Balinese tiger, the Javan tiger, and the Caspian tiger. The south China tiger is extinct in the wild, as the last known tiger of this subspecies was shot and killed in 1994. The remaining tigers are dependent upon for their survival the very same species that is causing their numbers to decline from illegal poaching: humans. I’d say that’s a pretty vulnerable position in which to find oneself. / . / Click to see all of my tiger photos. / . / 100% of the profits from the sale of this image will be donated to Big Cat Rescue.

This child watched through a broken window as we worked inside. It’s times like this when the natural, uncontrived symbolism of circumstance just presents itself to you and all you have to do is click. There was not pretence, no staging, no crap. Just reality. It still engages me now. Look at his eyes. What is he thinking? He’s aching. He is full on aching. How can I help them more, how can I help them more, how can I help them more… Please give if you can or pass it on to someone else. That’s giving too. All proceeds to charity. NOW AVAILABLE AS A CHRISTMAS CARD! /

White tiger at the aquarium in Houston. This is why I do not like seeing animals in zoos or cages. Wouldn’t you be bored if you were a jungle animal and you were put in a cage like this? They are beautiful, but I would prefer they were free. / ________________________________________________________ Please visit my professional site: – Charles Dobbs Photography and receive a 10% discount off my RedBubble Pricing when you order RedBubble Products directly from me! I met Mohamed inside the Temple of Kom Ombo right on the banks of the Nile, and his eyes were just captivating. He was one of the many locals that offered their services as a guide inside the temples in the return for baksheesh, photos cost extra but after chatting with him I felt he needed the money more then I did and I had to record his extraordinary eyes. Throughout my visit I didn’t see another blue eyed Egyptian so I felt lucky to have met Mohamed by chance, and shared some time with him. The Temple of Kom Ombo is actually two temples consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris, so everything in mirrored for each of the Gods.

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
