This a mixed media painting in which I am reminiscing about my childhood years at Llanberis , an orchard on the Granite belt in Southern Queensland
this is a mixed media painting which depicts references to my parent’s property at Stanthorpe-(they have now sold it)-much loved by all of us, and where we all spent many happy days(* and freezing cold nights!). Each of my children has a section dedicated to them and my Mother and father are also featured.

Girraween National Park is located within the ‘granite belt’ of southern Queensland. The town of Stanthorpe is around 25kms north. A great place to bushwalk, bird watch, camp, and of course, to enjoy some fine photography!

Took the wrong road out of Warwick and ended up in Stanthorpe. Well worth it and then continued onto Storm King Dam where I spent the rest of the afternoon /
