This is picture three in a series of artworks which are composed from images and re-done in composite form. I was trying to catch the essence of a modern concrete jungle and it’s parts. The originals are 500×500 canvas prints.
Mixed media with pencil illustration.
Wallflower / Available as a framed print, canvas print, mounted print and card Wallflower is a continuation of my experiment trying to achieve stained watercolour effect. / I owe some inspiration to Mucha’s flowery illustration style. / Wallflower is much richer as Mucha used soft colours, but with my love for rich colours and as the Wallflower’s feelings are intense, I had to go with the strong;) Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited.

This is a self-portrait of myself inspired by the art I always saw growing up as a Catholic. Just wondered how I might appear as a saint…...☺ / The original work was completed with watercolor and gouache media on Arches cold-press cotton rag.
Taken at Southwell Minster, Nottinghamshire, England. The minster is one of the most interesting and beautiful buildings I have ever been to. Southwell Minster dates back to the 12th century. It was once the retreat of the Archbishop of York. During the English Civil War, it was believed to be used as a stables for Cromwell. Southwell only became a diocese in the the late 19th Century. The window are so beautiful in the Minster. On this particular day, the light came streaming through by mid-morning. I love this shot. The ancient pillars become beautiful pallets of colour. Taken in St Grade Church, Ruan Minor, on the Lizard Peninsular in Cornwall, that was built in the 14c. / The sunlight was streaming through one of the stained glass windows, and left this colourful reflection on the floor, and a lovely colourful glow around the inside of the window. / This was the first time we have visited the church in all the years we have holidayed in the area. / We will certainly be visiting the church again this year. I hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Pentax K110D. / Pentax 18-55mm Lens.
i am very happy i stumbled upon this today. (11 feb 2009) Here is some panels of the fence that i took close up photographs of. As you can see each panel of fence has a completly different pattern, colour and texture. I have a fair few photographs taken and I have been able to produce some fantastic pieces of art. I think it is a fantastic find!!! / This abstract image is a little part of someones garden fence! Every strip of fence had been weather treated, but all the strips were completly different. i took lots of pictures as there were so many fantastic different shots. The wood fence looks as if it had been coated with weather stain, then it looks like a coat of tar had been applied, then it looks like the treated areas of the fence were blistered by the sun, leaving behind a some wonderful abstract art! i think that this picture looks like the sea – a field – hills – horizon with trees on it. / im uploading this picture, and i may upload another. i have cropped this picture slightly. i have adjusted the brightness/ contrast/ hue and saturation a little bit also, just to bring out the brilliance of what i photographed.

Some kind of dark stains left on the sand resmble fingers reaching otu from the tide as the sun sets over the beach near San Diego California
montage of oddly matching elements a group of ‘found’objects, from cgtextures ,clipart, my photos and then some…. all put together in photoshop
“Three Susans”, is a testament to the beauty of autumn’s, Black-eyed Susans. It seems the blooms never really decide whether to be yellow, or orange. But in the end it doesn’t matter… they are gorgeous. Three Susans, is done on watercolor paper. The basic color scheme is painted in with watercolor and markers, the finishing is done with color pencil. I used many shades of purple for the background that lends the piece a startling, yet strangely subtle contrast. About this Painting: / EBSQ Award Winner: Members Mention 11/2008 / Materials: color pencil, marker / Media: watercolor paper / Original status: Available

View from inside the Cocathedral St-Antoine-de-Padoue in Longueuil, Quebec built between 1884 and 1887. / This beautiful construction of gothic inspiration has been designed by two architects, Albert Mesnard and Henri-Maurice Perrault. There are two asymmetrical towers in front, a very rare occurrence in Canada, although there are a few in France. Number 5 in a series of artworks which are composed from images and re-composed in composite form. I was trying to catch the essence of a modern concrete jungle and it’s parts. Based on the idea we chucked around about including the tags in the image…
